Quinnipiac's social scene; much like every college, people drink. Most people drink 3-4 times a week. You NEED a FAKE ID. If you don't have one you will be out of the social loop. The Greek Life on campus is horrendous. No one joins frats.

People are generally inviting when it comes to partying and are always willing to acquire a new drinking partner. The hockey and lacrosse teams are big events to attend, and tend to be a good time. There is not much tradition, and the closest thing we had to a tradtion was shut down this year by an uptight administration. People like to party in their rooms a little too much, and they only come out to head to the bars in New Haven.

The most popular sports team is definitely men's hockey. Quinnipiac unquestionably has the most school spirit when at men's hockey games. A group I'm involved with is Quinnipiac's student run radio station - 98.1 WQAQ. It's a GREAT organization!!! Everyone involved in the radio station is extremely funny and crazy! We have so many laughs, while broadcasting quality radio shows as well. We have a departments such as Music, Promotions, Production, Business, etc. WQAQ actually won organization of the year for this school year (2007-2008). I would highly suggest joining! The dating scene at Quinnipiac is mixed. There are a lot of people with significant others (on campus or at home), but also a large group of people who are single. I met my closest friends through 98.1 WQAQ and and through friends from home who also came to Quinnpiac when I did as a freshmen. People definitely party on campus or go to bars/clubs in New Haven often. Some people go as many as 3-4 times a week, while others go 1-2. How often you want to party is up to you. There are a lot of things people can do on campus if they don't want to drink. SPB (student programming board) hosts a lot of events. They have comedians, show movies (outside on the quad if it's nice out), set up inflatable and moon bounces, have concerts, and sometimes just silly things like tie-dying t-shirts and midnight breakfasts. There is also a movie theater in New Haven and North Haven along with MANY restaurants and awesome places to eat.

students leave their dorm rooms open, people bounce from room to room all the time, athletic events are somewhat popular. guys hockey is extremely hard to get tickets for since its always sold out, boys basketball is pretty popular too. people party on wednesday-saturday. there is no saturday night fun without drinking.

Some of the most popular groups on campus are Greek Life, Student Programming Board, Student Government Association, and the various dance groups on campus. There are many different groups on campus...if you're not part of Greek Life it's not like you are an outcast...there are many people on campus who are not involved in them.
As far as athletic events go, hockey games are really popular in the winter...almost event seat is filled by students when we have a home game.
Activities are provided every Friday and Saturday night from 8pm to 1am by Student Programming Board and QU After Dark, so there is a lot to do on campus that doesn't involve drinking and partying.
One of my favorite traditions that is new this year is Relay for Life. It was the most amazing experience I had on this campus. QU came together as a community and raised over $112,000...it was incredible and made me very proud to be a part of this community.

Hockey and Basketball are a big thing here especially with our new sports arena. Everyone goes to games and they are a lot of fun. I am in a group called CAP (community action project). I do community service around the area and at school whenever I can. We have a lot of guests speakers each year, students go to by choice or because if they go they will get extra credit for a class. At 2am on Tuesday I am usually sleeping, some people are doing work, and others are drinking. My closest friends are from my building freshman year. I have met many new people my sophomore year but freshman year I made my closest friends. May weekend is every year and there is usually concerts. People party every weekend either on campus, around hamden, or in New Haven. Fraternities and sororities are not that important here, they sometimes even made fun of. Some people like them but they aren't like other others. There are always things to do around campus if you do not drink but I think most kids here drink.

I would not say that there is a most popular club or team on campus. People do what they are interested in. I am in volved with the finance club. There are a bunch of trips to New York City. I went on one, it was a conference regarding how to get your career started on Wall Street; it was a very good learning experience. Also they have a large book which you can put your resume in and they send it to over 400 companies. This club is a great opportunity to advance your career.
People in the dorms leave their doors open. The athletic events here are very fun. By far the most popular has to be the hockey games. Our school has a lot of guest speakers. These people are very inspirational. Early on in the school year Jimmy Carter spoke.
The dating scene is what you make it. Some people date, however other just hook up. Then there are the people who have mates from home. I met my closest friends just by living in the dorm I was put in.
On a Tuesday, if it was 2 AM and I was still up I would be doing homework.
There are no real traditions that I know of here. The party scene is what you make it. Some people party everynight. Others strictly Thursday through Saturday.
Greek life is not very popular here. There are two sororities, and two frats. They cannot have houses because of CT state law. Last weekend was the unofficial May weekend...
If you do not want to drink on a Saturday there is a student programing board which show unreleased movies.
