The social life is nice there are those that party and those that don't but therte are always things to do

They have rather interesting guest speakers: Former President Jimmy Carter and Professor Takaki of University of California Berkeley. I am closest friends with my roommates, and my best friend here was from my first semester English class. There are only two fraternities and three sororities, it is not that big here, compared to many schools. I'm involved in Montage Art and Literary Magazine and Society of Professional Journalists. On a Saturday night, if you're not drinking, there are events sometimes set up by the Student Progroamming Board...or you can just hang out and watch a movie in your room. Most kids go to bars in New Haven. I just wish there were more parties on campus.

Quinnipiac has a really good hockey team, and the basketball team is getting good too! The dorms are really fun, and QUAfterDark always has some programs going on. If you are not into school sponsored programs, you are only a quick shuttle ride away from the nightlife of New Haven. Greek life isn't huge, but its fun if it is something you want to be involved in!

Caitlin

There are 70 student organizations, so people can find pretty much anything they want. A new sports arena for ice hockey and basketball was built in 2007 so people go there for games. If you have your car, you still can't drive there so it is a hassle sometimes to take shuttles to the games.

So many options it is hard to choose what you want to do. QU literally offers anything you could posisbly want to get involved in and all programs are run extremly well to.

In IRMA WEST SIDE (my freshman dorm) everyone leaves there doors open. In Commons and Ledges everyones dorms seem to be closted. Atheltic evens are some what popular especially the hockey team. If I am awake at 2am on tuesday I am studying or finishing some kind of work. People party on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Fraternaties and sororities are a joke...they dont even have houses.

Jenna

There is always something going on on campus. Students are always willing to participate in activites and do the campus run programs that dont involve drinking and partying.

Mike

QU does have fraternities and sororities on campus that are popular for some students. They don't dominate student life, but they are available for students to get involved with. They actually don't have any houses on or off campus, so the typical "college party" that you see in movies doesn't really happen, but don't think we get bored. At night the parties usually happen Thursday through Saturday night. It's not crazy on the weekdays. There's always something happening on the weekends for students either on or off campus and the administration is really good with setting up different activities for students to get involved with that don't involve drinking including concerts, comedians, and stuff that gives away free food, and that's always a huge bonus. New Haven provides a good nightlife for students to go and hang out if they don't feel like chillin in the dorms, but if you like chillin in the dorms then that is always happening too. Also there are plently of clubs and organizations geared towards each major on campus and that always helps out when it comes to looking for a job. There's over 70 clubs and organizations available for students to get involved in. It's a very relaxed environment around the dorms. Many students will leave their doors open to other students during the day.
