If I would have advised my self to take a few more community collage courses. that were requred for my major. They would have saved me some time and expenses. I also would have worked a partime job in order to save up a little spending money. Other then that I consider myself pretty well prepared.

Study hard, and play hard. Don't procrastinate, rather complete assignments as soon as you possibly can. Pay attention in class, and get to know your professors. Go to their offices and seek their help. They love that, and it will help you too.
But don't spend all your time in your room or studying. Find organizations to get involved. Be sure to go to sports games, and get to know the others on your hall. The other people on your hall and the groups you get involved with- they are the way into friendships that last.
Remember that college is about learning, it is the first reason you are there. Study, and study well! But also remember that if you work hard on your studies, and if you complete things before they are due, you will give yourself more time and plenty of opportunity for fun as well.

Dear Me,
So I totally understand how excited you are. College is a crazy journey of all-nighters, the most ultimate of friends, weird and sometimes brilliant professors, late night Starbucks runs, and memeories that can last a lifetime. Just always remember why you're there. In the past, some people were never even allowed to be educated like you will be. Never take college for granted. Even when you dont want to get up for that 7:40am Biology class or when you would rather go shopping than study.......remember why you are there. I'm not saying that you will never have fun. You will have more fun and make more memeories and friends than you've ever imagined. But when you finally graduate I hope you look back with a tired but satisfied smile and say that those four (or more) years of yuor life was the best ever.
Love.

The advice I would give myself is to actually study more and to develop a better sleeping schedule. I have learned that college requires a lot of studying and application. If I would have spent my time studying and getting ready for college then I would have been much more prepared now. Also, I would have developed a better sleeping schedule. I am not a morning person, so going from sleeping all the day long to waking up at eight in the morning was a struggle for me. If I could go back in time I would have told myself to go to bed early because I would have to wake up early for college. Finally, I would have expanded my knowledge by reading and doing application on what I would have to do here in college.

The first thing I would tell myself would be to do whatever it takes to not go into debt. I would look for a full-time student job that could pay for my education and that also has an hourly rate of pay to cover my living expenses. I would also look every where for scholarships that I qualify for. Another thing to keep in mind would be to make solid lasting friendships and also to make as many connections as possible that will help me throughout college and once I get out into the workforce. I would go in with the mindset to not take anything for granted, to work as hard as I can, study, ask the questions in and out of class, in order to make sure I get the most out of my experience there.

In the transition from high school life to college life my three points of advice would consist of academic excellence, social networking, and aspiring adult leadership in all areas of one's life. E would encourage myself to set high standards for myself in my academics and career pursuits, get involved with people who will encourage my development in a healthy way for my future, and get involved with the leadership opportunities at the school. I would advise myself that college is the best time of your life if you look at it as an opportunity to blossom into the person God intended you to be and by giving him your best in every area of your life, who knows where you will end up! I would encourage myself to look at the bright future ahead of me as I step into independency.

Kristopher... you pansy! Don't be so scared of college it?s really not that scary. Do not forget to just be yourself! You can avoid a bunch of unwanted loneliness if you just open up to people right as you get there. Academically you are pretty set expect you could save yourself a lot of sitting through boring general education classes if you pass a few more AP exams. Biggest thing I have to tell you is get your act together. Avoid taking early morning classes and please don't be late to class because you can fail if you are late too much! You love having a social life just make sure it doesn't over shadow your academic studies or interfere with your intimacy with God. I know how important your religion is to you, that is why you are going to Liberty University, but make sure you never lose sight of love too. God loves you and you have to realize that the people you choose to surround yourself with will be life-long friends, mentors, and partners. Show them love like God has showed you love. Lastly go out and have some fun! Love, Yourself.

If possible, it is important to visit the campus. Students will learn more about a college by visiting than by reading every college brochure ever printed. It is also important to ask every question about the college. Make a list of those things you absolutely need in a college and find out if the potential college has those things. Know what you want before you begin looking. Talk to professors and students in the major you are interested in. The students attending the college will be able to tell you everything that the tour guides will not tell you. The tour guides are students who get paid to talk the college up. Other students, though, will share what college life is really like at that school. Once in college, get involved in clubs or activities that relate to your major. This will open up many opportunities that are not offered to the general population of students. Make friends with the other students in your classes and your dorm so that you always have someone to do something with. There are many ways to get involved and the best to find out what they are is to talk to current students.

make sure to go and visit the school you want to attend and see if they give scholarships.
