I have learned very important lessons about making art. ASU has changed my perspective on what art is, how it's done, and how I should approach it. I have really expanded my scope of artistic techniques, as well as how I incorporate meaning into my work, or more importantly, if that's even necessary. I've gone from being completely disinterested in Art History to considering taking it as a second major. Although at times, my teachers have annoyed me or made me feel bad about my abilities or my art, all the pain has been for my own good. I now feel confident in my ability to succeed in the world of FIne Arts.

I have gotten so much out of my college experience. I've learned to be more independent and to take care of myself. I know what I need to focus on and I know what I need to do to succeed. It has been a big transaction from high school and I now know everything has to be done on your own. No one is there to tell you to do your homework and you have no consequences besides failing the class. I have grown up a lot since the start of college and it has opened my eyes to many new opportunities, like volunteering abroad or joining different organizations. College has been valuable to me because I have become independent and it is preparing me for my future career in either Special Education or Psychology. So far college has been a good experience for me and I would never take this opportunity back.

I have truly learned about myself while attending college. I now know how hard of a worker I am, and how dedicated I am to bettering my life and living to my fullest capability. I have been faced with many trivial times and have prevailed because of my determination, and commitment to a higher education. While attending college I have truly received genuine knowledge and insight on the subjects I have taken. I am able to successfully reiterate topics covered in class nd even expand on discussions we have had. College has been very special to me because I am the first person in my family to attend, so far it has been an amazing experience and blessing to be able to learn and experience so all that college has to offer.

College has taught me what I want and how to better contribute to the world around me. It has been invaluable because it has made me grow up and learn to deal with people different than myself. Respect and responsibility are the best things I have gotten out of college.

I have been able to really grow into myself since beginning my time at ASU. I have been able to attend many different and unique events and have been able to get to know many interesting people. This has allowed me to get out of my box and see how other people see the world. The number of oppertunities I have had here has allowed me to get to know better what it is I want out of college, and of life. I have been able to volunteer places, learn about other majors that may interest me in the future, and learn how my major may help me after graduation. I have gotten to know so many interesting people who have shown me new ways to view the world, and this has helped me tremendously. Coming to a big school like ASU allowed me to stop being so shy and to open up more. I am convinced that there are few schools that have all that ASU has, and I am grateful to have decided to attend.

Since the day I returned to my college journey I have ravenously pursued excellence. I have retaken old classes and have consistently raised my GPA each semester. I have joined my fellow students in clubs and competitions, volunteered my time to school activities, and have learned more than I could have imagined. These experiences include being a member of the college anthropology club as well as volunteering my time to the astronomy department for community activities. I have also donated my time to the South Mountain Community College Storytelling Institute in the form of volunteer work at community storytelling events and local festivals, as well as helping with social networking efforts. My federal work study has given me the chance to give to the school, while learning and earning money for college. I have put my best foot forward and have been rewarded with not only a personal sense of accomplishment but I have also earned an academic excellence award at this year's awards ceremony. The most important thing I have gotten from my college experience though is a personal sense of accomplishment and a feeling that anything is possible.

College has given me many things. It has taught me to be more independent, it has given me a bigger perspective on life and on myself, it has given me the opportunity to experience things I might not have had I not gone to college, and overall it is giving me the opportunity to find myself and be prepared for life as an adult. College is definitely a valuable experience and I am glad to have taken that step to attend, I am having a great time and am making memories that are sure to last a lifetime, it is a unique opportunity that I value extremely. I know all the effort I am putting into this college experience will pay off once I graduate and I am thankful for getting this opportunity, both of attending college, and of applying for this scholarship that would be a great blessing and help in accomplishing my goal of graduating college.

I have learned many interesting things about exercise science, the history of the English language, geography, and music.

I have mostly learned a lot through my various classes, though I feel that some classes were far more valuable or memorable than others. I've never been very social, so do not feel like I've made important new friends in college, but I do feel that my art and skill in foreign languages has improved drastically. I feel that is the most valuable part of college, is what you've learned in those classes that pertain to your focuses.

I have gotten knowledge in areas that have helped me with my career goals. I am able to use a computer, write a sentence, write a letter, and write a memorandum. Something I was not able to do before I attended college. I am able to feel a sense of security and professionalism when I attend a work assignment. I feel I have made an accomplishment in my life. I want to set a good example for my son and granddaughter. I hope my attending college will give my granddaughter the motivation and inspiration to attend college when she becomes of age. In college you meet people with different career paths and cultures, which is very interesting to me. A very important reason for attending college is you can choose a position that pays excellent wages according to your credentials, which is always a good thing. In other words you can demand the type of salary when you hold a degree. The higher the degree, the more of a salary you can demand.
