What do you consider the worst thing about University of Central Florida? Why?

Jasmin

Making consideration about the worst thing about my school can be very challenging because I believe that my school is outstanding, but if i had to choose something I believe it would be that we have a lack of parking on campus. Since the first day of school I have had to dread the wrath of parking on our campus because there is so little to go around. This fact makes since especially because we are the third largest university in the United States. Although there is a lack of parking at UCF it still is the best school.

The worst thing about my school is how hard it is to get finanicial aid. The past couple semesters I've had to take out loans to pay for my schooling.

Janice

In my opinion, the worst thing about my school is that it is so big and has so many students. It is the closest 4-year university for me to attend, but if I had a choice I would prefer a smaller more intimate school.

Although there is Wi-Fi throughout the campus, often times there is difficulty connecting to the internet and sometimes the internet speed can be very slow. There are hotspots where internet access via Wi-Fi is adequate but it can be frustrating when people often rely on the internet to complete online assignments.

I have not found a problem with the school at this time. The staff, faculty and other attending students have all been extremely helpful and full of advice.

Allen

Parking is horrible. For 50,000 plus students, we need more parking spaces and parking garages. Also, we need a little more school spirit.

Kathleen

I feel that at my school there has been problems with communication between various buildings on campus as well as communication between schools when trnasferring.

The worst part about UCF is the financial aid office. To be honest, nearly every time I go to the financial aid office I feel frustrated and discouraged because I get the impression that the counselors don't care to help me. I understand that dealing with money and financial aid is difficult, but it seems to me that I am just a burden and they don't even bother to give me helpful advice. I think this office would be better if the counselors were more friendly or if policies were slightly different to accomodate students with special circumstances.

The worst thing about my school has got to be how crowded it is. We need about 3 times as many parking spots as we have, it's a struggle to get the classes you need to graduate making it very difficult for you to graduate on time and nearly impossible to do it early. It's the fastest growing school in Florida but they aren't growing faster than the student population is.
