University of Central Florida Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about University of Central Florida? Why?

China

The worst thing about the University of Central Florida would probably be its small number of on campus housing available to upperclassmen. Many freshman usually receive housing on campus but by the second year it is much more difficult to secure a space unless it is in Towers or you win the Academic Village lottery.

Staci

The worst thing about UCF is the amount of people on and off campus. It's difficult and frustrating because there are never any jobs available, and it's difficult to go anywhere. Traffic is awful!

Trishtien

The teaching style in the larger classes is absolutely horrible

Levon

The large class sizes because I am not used to that sort of thing.

The only thing I can say is that parking at the University of Central Florida since I started in 2004 has gotten worse due to the increase of incoming freshmens each school year. The first couple of weeks of each semester trying to find a parking is a dilemma! It can take from 10 to 40 minutes. Because of this, some students do not make it to class on time or worse get desperate and therefore park in restricted areas thus getting summons from the police force from the school.

I would say the worst thing about VCC is the parking! Parking on campus is the most aggravating experience in the world, not only are there very limited amounts of student parking spaces, but the ridiculous waiting time to actually get a spot is absurd. There are overflow parking lots but those are at least a mile or so walking distance from the buildings. I would suggest either more outlets or routes that would allow students to access parking spaces more easily.

Jessica

There are so many students, it makes difficult to register for all your necessary courses each smester due to limited space.

Michael

If you dont live on campus, it is almost impossible to find parking.

My school is excellent! I think we do a great job coming together and being very open to all types of people and we have oportunities for everyone to get involved in something they enjoy. But the worst thing about my school that I have experiences is probably the confusion on our website, it seems to take you in circles before giving you what you're looking for. I have had to go into an advisor many times to get answers. But other than that I can't complain!
