FRIENDLY, and like to have fun
Christina
My classmates are friendly, caring people who are committed to learning and their education, and genuinely want to succeed in their school work and in their future careers.

No one could possible feel out of place here, unless they were an engineering student (go to Tech). There's a club for everyone and I'd say that most of our campus is politically aware.

Some of my classmates are hard working students not only looking forward to graduate but want to succeed and know as much about their subject and area of interest; however, some other students simply want to find the easiest way to graduate with easy courses, having no insight into their future and simply interested in the parties for the weekend. I feel most students are taking advantage of their academic opportunity and working to give themselves a better future.

My classmates are mostly from the south; they wear preppy clothes and enjoy being a part of a college that allows them to indulge in the "full college experience."

Looking around the Athens campus, UGA seems like one massive private school. You cant drive down Baxter Street without seeing a bottle-blonde in a Mercedes or BMW every other vehicle or some roided-up fratty in an oversized truck he only drives to make up for what he's lacking in other areas *cough, cough*. I come from a gated community too so its nothing new.. howver, it is sooooo in-your-face here in Athens. There's so much pressure to look cute at all times and one must constantly be in the Athens uniform.... little boys' white T,Nike running shorts,Longchamp bag, and rainbows during the day; something from heery's or Fortson's by night. If You plan on wearing something different, good luck

It's a good mixture of easy and tough. some classes are small (english and math) while others are large and lecture format. the labs are very small and hands-on. There are people from all walks of life, but i must say that i've heard minorities have a hard time being recognized. everyone is extremely kind and modest.

My high school was more diverse.

I've seen every race out on campus at UGA. Most students were sweatpants/nike shorts and tshirts to class. I never dressed up once. It's more important to be comfortable sitting in a lecture than looking good. Most people are from Georgia but there are people from everywhere. I am from Georgia but my two best friends are from Richmond, VA and Maryland. UGA's student body is SO diverse. No matter what you are or what you like, you will find many people to fit in with.

Everyone is nice at Georiga. I have never met a rude person. There are people of all different races and religions. There are all different churches to attend and different organizations to join. No matter what you are interested in, you can find at UGA.
