The people I have in my classes are usually motivated to do well, but manage to balance school and their social lives.

My classmates are open-minded, willing to learn and at times very dynamic and motivated to do well in class and impress, or challenge, professors with their ideas.

While a majority of students at UGA are from Georgia, there are large numbers of students from different states & countries. There are organizations that would be a great fit for pretty much any type of student at UGA. Since Georgia is home to the HOPE scholarship, students are all over the spectrum in terms of their financial backgrounds. It is not uncommon to see a Honda parked beside a Range Rover or Lexus beside an old pickup truck. Students dress however they want for class, it really does not matter. Girls are prone to dress up more in the warmer months, though, just because it is pretty easy to throw on a cute sundress. In the winter, most girls wear uggs (we know they are not fashionable but they are warm & comfortable). Rainbows (a brand of flip-flops) are usually on everyone's feet during the Spring & Summer.

Make sure to find the right classmates to latch on to that will help you succeed both in and outside of the classroom.
