University of Georgia Top Questions

In my experience at the University of Georgia thus far, the students are at both extremes. Either they party every night and lose HOPE from the very beginning or they are dedicated to their work and willing to do whatever they can to stay on top of things. I do believe that since there is a high standard set to get into UGA, everyone is intelligent. It is just the effort that students are willing to put forth that seperates the student body.

My classmates are very sure of the direction they are going in.

With such a diverse group of students on campus, my classmates are interesting, friendly, and driven individuals who know the time and place to have fun, yet are still very focused on their academics.

My classmates are all really friendly and a great sorce to get together with and study.

Generally, my classmates all contribute to class time in a respectful manner, we challenge each other's thoughts and respect other's opinions.

Everyone here, especially the guys, seem to be way more goal oriented than people in high school. Everyone is on the same path to success and that creates a wonderful learning environment. It's very easy to get help from classmates and studying together does make learning a lot easier.

many are friendly some tend to be very similar in terms of political affiliation and economic background, and sometimes have a small-town mentality (some can be close-minded). There is a BIG focus on fraternity and sorority life.

Academic but still social and fun.

My first year I really struggled becasue I didn't open up to my classmates...AT ALL. This had a lot to do with moving from Florida to Georgia..so I didn't know a single person. This year I am more relaxed and realized that my classmates were the same as me...wanting to make friends. I also feel like my major..which is Early Childhood has helped me a lot as well. All of the students in my education classes are really helpful and friendly.
