Is the stereotype of students at Emerson College accurate?

For the most part. The forget to mention how hardworking and passionate Emerson College students are about their career choice. The school really facilicitates time to pursue creative goals and allows students to work only as hard as they want to.

I don't fall into either category, and while I have friends who do, I also have plenty of friends who do not. There are a lot of kids just playing around with daddy's money who don't seem to be connected to the real world, but you'll get that at BU, BC, etc. as well.

In SO many cases, yes. But the school is beginning to market now to a more generalized crowd.

Many Emerson kids were unpopular or different in high school, and it takes time for them to find their niche. Eventually they can understand individuality and that they aren't the only ones that want to be artsy people.

These stereotypes are true to a point, but honestly, there are plenty of straight guys here (even though we have our share of gay guys as well). Also, though it may seem that everyone smokes, there definitely is a large population of Emerson students who don't.
