I think it is a decent school with a lot of culture. The HBCU experience is strong and impactful for the most part, but I wish that the costs of tuition and everything wasn't as much as what it is given my family's financial situation. I am grateful for every scholarship opportunity that I get to help pay for school.

Overall I truly love it. Everyone is so sweet and friendly; everyone makes you feel welcome. Many people consider the school a party school, and yes we do party but educational action always comes first for many of the students. We have great programs and our nursing program is one of the bests in the state.

I am currently a freshman in Langston University. I started showing up campus during my junior year of high school. I would say that Langston is pretty good. The class sizes that I had were pretty small which helped in understanding the content that teachers taught. Not only that but thanks to campus being small I was able to get my classes on time. Also my dorm had four people and they were pretty cool as we all had similar goals. I can't wait to finish my 2nd semester.

Langston University FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Langston University?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Langston University is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I had a chance to go back and speak with my high school senior self I would walk right up to her and look her straight in the eyes. I would then say "stay focused". I would have a conversation with her about her goals and dreams and the ways to prevent set backs. I would tell her that she needs to be responsible and get herself on birth control since she is sexually active with her partner and use protection always. I would tell her that knee injuries happen all of the time and to remain focused on getting a basketball scholoarship. Opportunities for a student athlete are endless. I'd tell her that she will meet so many new people and travel to many places. There are tones of successful men in this world and she should not focus on this man. If he loves her, he will find her in the future. I would say to her that her future is very bright and that an educated beautiful black woman is powerful.

  9. What kind of person should not attend this school?

Students who shouldn't attend this school should be those who are not interested in making a change for their own lives, those who are not willing to go further up ahead than any let down that they had experienced. In my response, everyone is welcome to come here to this 4-year institute but of course if students, adults or any people are not interested in it then, we should prefer to repest their own actions.

  13. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

I brag to my friends that this university as a community has become family to me. My advisor is very helpful with my classes and grades. My newly found roommates are the best. We've become so close in our first semester together. The professors provide help and understanding. The campus life and activities are fun but not overwhelming to where you can't fit studies in. I find it to be a very beautiful setting when I'm outside walking around campus. The school cost is very little with their help of scholarships and financial aid information.
