As for the drinking, it is a college. Yes, people here drink but it is just like any other school. IUP students drink no more than any other college students.

No, IUP is a very challenging university, and I have seen many students easily fail from not going to class or partying too much. And yes, there are opportunities to party, but every school is like that.

I belive typical party sterotypes apply to colleges all over the world. IUP maybe known as a party school but the majority of students realize they are here for an education, not an expensive party. Yes, there are many students that skip class to go get a case of cheap beer, but most attend to their studies before the party starts. Also, going into my third year at IUP I have learned a lot studying and partying. The party scene in any college can become a trap, but you live and you learn, and you learn what comes first from your previous mistakes.
