Most schools nowadays are party schools, there is going to be a party scene wherever you go. Academically, IUP is held to a much higher standard than most people perceive at a first glance or from rumors. IUP is rated quite highly among some of the most highly esteemed academic establishments.

IUP is a party school, but it's not as bad as it used to be. Law enforcement is cracking down. IUP is not very difficult to get accepted to; however, once you're here the academics are difficult. IUP has a variety of races and ethnicities.

No. Of course there is going to be drinking, but nothing more than you would find on any other campus.

There is drinking, I mean it's college. But it's not that bad, it's mostly on the weekends, and most students are committed to their studies. The professors themselves are excellent and you really do get a good educationt here.
