Emerson is the greatest college ever! I've wanted to go to college since I was in eight grade and now that I'm here I never want to leave!

GREAT THINGS TO KNOW: - Apply to be and RA, if it's for you. - Be ready to make your artistry real work if you come here for the arts - the teachers rock - the politics don't - the people here may drive you crazy, don't expect to be happy here, be ready to value how it helps you grow

lot of good lookin women, guys are ok (usually taken) dining hall- i love it personally emerson has a HUGE cigarette smoking community. youll understand if you visit during class change.

Maria

Emerson is great! Everyone's really accepting, you're around people who understand how important it is to pursue the arts, the professors are great, you'll make awesome connections, and Boston is fantastic.

The dining hall and Piano Row cafe are the only places to eat on meal plan, besides the Convenience Store (C-Store), and it can get old pretty fast, but it's pretty good most of the time. Also, freshman year, live in the Little Building (LB). Piano Row is all suites and it's harder to make friends outside of your suitemates. Also the LB is just better.

Brady

Emerson is a great school and I highly, highly recommend it.

Alex

Emerson is a perfect school if you are looking for something small, focused on the students and their needs, in a great location, with wonderful opportunities to advance both your personal and professional life. I really can't imagine being anywhere else right now, but at Emerson.

Advice for picking housing - Go with the Little Building. Piano Row is newer, cleaner, and looks really awesome with its 4 or 6 person suites, but the place breeds a clique mentality, and by the end of the year, your 4 or 6 person clique will have torn itself apart over personality issues. No one gets lucky enough to have five perfect people live with them their first year. You'll enjoy the community and atmosphere of the LB, plus the dining hall is only a ten second walk away. Also, there's still a chance the Doubletree will still be open by the time you come to the school. If they offer you a spot at the DT, take it. The rules are easier to break, the beds are so much nicer, and, oh, wait, you're living in a hotel. For a year. Adoy.

If you're the Emerson type and you know if you are you will freakin love it! Everyone here is happy with the school. If you don't know what you want to major in don't come here. I know it says this whenever you look up Emerson, but i'm surprised when kids are here and in that situation, they almost always transfer. Kids at Emerson want to be successful. They're major is what they've always known they wanted to do. It's a very professional atmosphere so take everything seriously.

Overall, I've enjoyed my time at Emerson. I only have a year left to graduate, and often times I hate having to walk through clouds and clouds of cigarette smoke just to get to class. But then I remind myself that I'm not the one smoking.
