I love Whitewater, it is a small, simple town but it's what you make of it. Try to make friends and participate in activities. The academics are great and the housing is average. The food is getting better unless you are super picky. Overall, I love this school and the friends I've made.

Sophia - 12/17/2021

I like that all the class sizes are just right for me. At a maximum, there would be around 40 kids in a class. This is only for science classes. Most classes are between 20-30 students. The city of Whitewater is small enough to feel homey but large enough to not feel in the middle of nowhere.

Alliyah - 11/06/2021

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is a great school! They have plenty of majors to pick from, classes are all achievable, the staff are always friendly and there to help, there are many students on campus so it's not hard to meet new people, and overall, just a very happy and friendly environment. 10/10 would recommend!

There are great perks to being a Warhawk, such as the graduation rate and being hired before graduating. Football games are packed and Greek Life is the BEST. Bars in town have the cheapest drinks around and the friendliest bartenders. Always something to do on campus or off campus.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back and give myself advice for my future college career I would have told myself that just going to class doesn't cut it. In order to thrive in a university setting you have to balance your priorities, friends, and other obligations. Time management is immensely helpful when you incorporate it into your daily schedule. Never be afaraid to talk in class or ask for help. I wish I had known that earlier on because you can't learn when your only hearing directly from the professor. Student input is essential. Don't be afraid to take your learning to the next level and use your teachers to network into your desired career field. After all your paying for the knowledge and instruction you recieve here.

Don't bother with the activities, their all losers that probabaly will talk to their mom's about you every night before they get tucked into their dorm beds. They definately good house parties, but remember it is a small town with a college smack dab in it.
