Madison - 12/02/2023

It is a great school, while it has its downsides, it is a small campus with a good community. It really feels like home. The professors are usually pretty easy to get in touch with and do their best to help. You are not just a number to anyone here. You are recognized and appreciated.

Codi - 01/26/2023

I love my school, It is smaller than most. There are many different majors to choose from. The faculty is very nice and accommodating. The freshman dorms are not very big and there is not a huge party scene, but we have fun. I am very glad I chose Mount Olive as my home during my college years.

I love Mount Olive, I will be starting in the Fall of 2020. I have been several times and stayed overnight, it is an amazing school and offers so much. The University of Mount Olive makes sure that students are safe, it is a dry campus so there is no drinking on campus, the sports teams are great and there is always a game or event going on.

Alanna - 08/01/2019

If you thought maybe being just a number wasn't your thing UMO is your place. Never have I visited a school where more than one adult could remember my name and information about my personal life. The involvement faculty has in students life is absolutely amazing!

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If i could go back in time and talk to myself as a senior i would tell myself to focus strictly on school and not work. I say this because , while i was going to school and working i focused the majority of my time at work and not school . I now realize that school is much more important than trying to maintain a job . Education should always come first. Another thing is that once you move out on your own, life is not as easy as it was when you lived at home. Last but not least is that school is a privilege that not everyone gets to enjoy . So I would tell myself to keep your nose to the grindstone and get a degree in something you love to do.

  3. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

I brag about how the size of the school is so small, allowing all the classes to be more personable than any other college. The school is small enough where the teachers actually know you on a personal level. This helps me out allot beacause i learn way better in a smaller classroom.

  5. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

There are only three colleges in my state offering my major, Agriculture Education. The other two are huge schools with huge populations! Here at MOC, students are like family! We all get along (most of the time) and all have a ton of fun together. I find that it's unique for an entire school to support one another; most student's at other universities don't even know that they are alive!

  9. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I personally chose to live off campus and commute to school every day. I recently transfered to Mount Olive College in August 2010. So far I have had a wonderful experience. The worst thing about the college is that is is 30 minutes from my home, which is not their fault. Other than that I am extremely pleased with my experience there.
