The most frustrating thing is that the University of Houston is ridiculously slow in helping students. News and updates on financial aid is always sent late to the students and always confuses the students. It is even more frustrating when the school makes a mistake and refuses to acknowledge it or blames the students for it. Also, the University of Houston is always slow to process important information and documents, such as transcripts.

Not a tight enough campus community.

The administration down to their policies and projects. This school has a high number of commuters, yet I feel that the administration is forgetting this fact by first building a SMALL parking garage, then a loft, and then planning to build yet another garage. Plus, the cost for parking permits in the current garage is too costly in my opinion, especially since a good portion of the money used to build these buildings were most likely provided by the student fees and tuition. I especially hate the Financial Aid department and how most people working there are quite unintelligent.

The most frustrating thing is lack of funding and publicity the University receives from its host city. The science programs and language school has a lack of modern equipment and the laboratories are out-dated. However, the Bauer Business school is situated in a state of the art building with even more funds coming in. There is a lack of school spirit amongst the students for our teams. Even when our teams do well, such as the football team Cougars, the city of Houston does not give as much credit and air time to the Cougars as it gives UT.

The grading system and financial aid. The grading system is frustrating because if you take a class over they do not replace gthe grade they only average it. financial aid i frustrating because they are using a new system that they are not familiar with.

At times the work load from courses seems to be a bit excessive.

The most frustrating thing about University of Houston main campus is the parking situation. For student parking they do not have enough spaces to accommodate all the students. Academics at UH are not cut -throat; parking is. Students will drive around the three main parking lots for thirty minutes looking for a spot once they find one someone else approaches and a battle emerges over the spot. I have seen fights almost break out over a parking spot! If I could change this about my school I would by adding more student parking and less unused faculty parking.
