University of California-Irvine Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about University of California-Irvine? Why?

Angela

Close-mindedness of students.

Brittany

Lack of school spirit and lack of diversity. It makes it hard to find a good social life. I also wish we had a football team; that would help with the school spirit.

Jossie

The worst thing is that you have to be in a club or organization to actually be doing something. Students seem to have their own thing. Another worst thing is that shopping malls and markets are far and you really need a car to get there. The parking is very crowded so its either stay on campus or go out and lose your parking spot.

Lyndsey

Sometimes the teachers' office hours conflict with my class schedule, making it difficult to reach them in person. It is expensive to room and board on campus, or nearby, but that just might be California.

Benjamin

Dead weekends and not true university town feeling. everything needs to include driving a car to get somewhere. Not enough school spirit and too many cliques

Vage

This applies to the entire UC system, as I have many friends and relatives who are scattered across the state attending these institutions. The UC tends to be somewhat over saturated with beurocratic dialogue and red tape, from student endevours to the relationship between students and the administration. Other than that, no complaints.

Gulalai

I dont like the people they tend to be all the same. It was also very competitive and I feel like I didnt learn so much because I was too serious.
