Not diverse enough.

I wish there were more serious students on campus.

The worst part of my school is paying the tuition. Receiving finanical or governmental aid for middle class students is hard to come by. Many student like myself need to take giant loans to help cover the insane costs that continually seeem to rise. The tuition for all UC colleges are horrible.

The one thing I dislike about my school is how underrepresented it is to high school students. I have heard so many students say that UCI is a nice school but it is not UCLA or UC Berkley. Though UCLA and UC Berkeley may have a better reputation since they have richer heritages; UCI is a growing research university with distinguished facility, an ideal location, and most importantly school-spirited and ambitious students. When looking into a university, what it really comes down to is the students who go there that make the university a great place to learn.

I don't like it when teachers don't give feedback on students' work because students cannot grow without it.

Despite its top-notch research facilities and safe environment, UCI lacks the prestige that students often look for. During the college application process, many applicants focus their attention on reputable schools, such as the Ivy League or other private colleges. While UCI offers solid academics, the school does not attract a lot of attention and is often considered a "back-up" when all else fails. The lack of attention is in part due to the lack of a football team as well as the overall campus atmosphere.

Haha, the worst thing about my school is that I'm hard pressed to find friends who don't drink (like me).

There is not a huge social scene or a lot of school pride. And I come from a high school where school spirit etc. is a HUGE factor. So coming to a school where thats not a big thing and the only way to be in the social scene is by joining Greek Life...that's unfortunate

Well there is not anything bad about the school itself. The only problem I would see is that everything is far away, and you need a car to go places.
