Towson University is a suit-case school - the weekends leave the campus nearly dead and many students commute. However, the SGA does an excellent job at pulling students to campus, to work and come together. There many many, many student groups and organizations, and there is always a niche for someone here! There are hotspots in the Union, and the new West Village Commons, where many students gather to eat and socialize, so you are always bound to meet someone.
Class sizes are smaller, so you tend to be able to have interaction with your professors - if that is the thing you are looking for.
There are always events and things to do - you just have to pay attention and look around.
For the negatives, I believe Towson still has to work on getting all of the construction underway that doesn't inhibit students. I believe they constantly, although not on purpose, blockade off or section off parts of campus which simply makes it more difficult to traverse through to your classes. Some of the classes within the majors don't tend to teach much in terms of what your future career is - at least from talking with fellow students and with being a senior myself.
Overall, I am happy with Towson.

Towson University, my school, is a very well rounded school. In my opinion there is a place for everyone. Whether you are into theater, sports, or greek life, we have it all! Towson is a huge school which I believe gives you many benefits, but at the same time there are many classes that have just 30 people, which gives an intimate feel so you won't get lost in the crowd. It is just the right size. People have a great impression of Towson University. The school is very well liked in the community and it is practically the center of the town. Towson is definitely a college town, with many fun activities and great hang outs. The administration has always been there to help, I have never had a experience where someone was not willing or just didn't have time to work with me. School pride is every where from Greek life to TU shirts and colors. But no worries if you are a grad student or no really into that there are many people who are just here for commuting. I have met inspiring teachers at Towson that had assured me that I am going into the right career. The only complaint that I have ever heard was when I was a freshman/ sophomore on campus everyone would smoke outside of the building, but now we are a smoke free campus which is awesome!!!

Towson may not be for everyone but for me, Towson was close to home (which was really nice since I experienced a difficult college transition). The driving reason for my application to Towson was their Occupational Therapy combined BS/MS program. I chose my college based on the degree I wanted. The other school I was considering was West Virginia University, however, WVU is far from home and I personally wanted to stay close.

Towson offers a variety of well known majors that are very accredible across the states. I think that Towson is a great size, student wise. At first I felt as if the school was very big, but as you start meeting new people, you'd be amazed at some connections you have with them as they may know people you know. The only complaint about the schools campus that I have experienced and heard from others is that it is a "hilly" campus. For students with a handicapped disability, they may feel challenged on campus. I was on crutches for a few weeks and it was not the easiest getting around. Towson has a lot of school pride, which can be seen by the rigorous amount of students who attend sports games. When I was a freshman on campus I found it easy to adjust since a majority of freshmen students are located in your surrounding area. On campus dining facilities, such as Susquehanna, is one of the popular, good places I would eat. The dining halls were a nice size, and I was overall 90{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} satisfied with the usual options they had. Even though it was nice to get off campus my sophomore year, I do miss the on campus atmosphere and activities that I was more involved in then since I was on campus.

I absolutly LOVE Towson! Towson truly does offer its students a well worth it education!!! Towson is the kind of school where your experience is only as good as you make it for yourself

I really like Towson a lot. Most of my professors are very helpful and mainly concerned on making the most out of the student's learning experience. I have great friends and met a lot of great people.

My overall opinion about Towson is that i love it. It's the perfect size just a little bit on the larger side of a medium school. I would have to say that the best thing about my school is the people who go there. everyone I meet is really nice and helpful. The one thing I would change however is the amount of healthy food that is available here. there are plenty of options as far as food goes but sometimes it can be hard to find something very healthy. There is alot of school spirit at Towson there is always a tailgate before football games and there are plenty of sporting events to attend at show your tiger pride. Towson is also a very diverse school which is one of the things i really like about it.

The best things about Towson University would have to be the size and location. Towson's population is over 20,000 students, but it is small enough that each student can make a big difference. Towson is located just outside Baltimore, which means it is close to the city while not being right in the city. You get a suburban feel with all the urban ammenities. There is plenty to do on campus and even more to do off campus, with almost anything within walking distance. There are also shuttles that will take you from campus to almost anywhere you would want to go (mall, Baltimore city, outskirts of Towson). Towson is also within proximity to other colleges, like Loyola and Johns Hopkins. Because Towson's college community loves sports, the sports culture is huge on campus. Students get into all sports events for FREE with their student ID. Special giveaways and other entertainment are provided at all games, no matter which sport. Every Fall there is a Homecoming Concert (acts like T-Pain, Wale, B.o.B.) and every Spring there is a TigerFest concert (acts like All American Rejects, LMFAO, The Roots). Currently, Towson is undergoing a lot of construction in order to make the campus better and it makes getting through campus a little tough. However, most of the construction should be complete by Spring 2012/Fall 2012 and it is not impossible to get to where you need to go in a timely fashion.

The best thing about Towson is the size. Although towson is not a big school we have a big school spirit with comfort of a small school. The class sizes ranges but on average there are 30-40 students per class. The school is close to just about everything you can imagine. The towson town center mall is within walking distance, the bars and various food places are also all with in walking distance and its a short drive in to downtown baltimore.
