Professors do know my name. My favorite class is English, and each student becomes very involved in class discussions. My least favorite class is calculus. Students study a great deal and put a good effort into work in each class. Class participation is mostly common. Often, QU students have intellectual discussions outside of class concerning the upcoming elections and other controversial issues. Students are not really competitive, and everyone is willing to help one another. The most unique class I have taken is English because my professor has opened me to a new way of thinking and analyzing text. I do not spend much time with professors outside of class unless I need extra help. Quinnipiac's academic requirements are fair, just like any other college's. Education here is geared towards learning AND preparing us for the real world.

All of my professors know my name and I truly believe all professors make a conscious effort to get to know me. I have taken many teachers multiple times and with each new time I enroll in their class, I know exactly what I am getting. Most teachers at Quinnipiac are caring, understanding and always willing to help.

Yes, professors know our name. Students study a lot or a little depending on their major. Health science more often studying. Yes, class participation is common. No, no intellectual conversations outside the classroom. Yes, students competitive. My major is international business with a minor in sociology. No, I don't see my professors outside of class. Education is geared toward a job in my major.

my major is marketing so those are going to be my favorite classes. however, one of my other favorite classes was international business. i learned a lot about culture and different countries which lead me to a minor in anthropology. i think that if students would just let themselves think instead of trying to fit a mold, they would discover many things about themselves and about their QU community. many people told me that an econ minor or a finance minor would do me better in the business world but i didnt listen.

I am a business management major and one of the best classes I ever took was with professor Bellizzi. He run a very unorodox class, but he has the biggest heart for teaching. He is a rare catch and I have enjoyed many of his classes.

professors know you because of the small class sizes. students are somewhat competitive. when i came in freshmen year, i was really surprised because i didnt expect some of the classes to be as hard as they were.

i love the academics. the teachers are mostly great, really want to teach you and help you learn. some are better with names than others. i think that at qu i'm actually learning things that matter towards my major. and that will help me later on in life.
Dale
nice small classes and carring teachers. search qureview to make sure you dont get a bad teacher

I really dont like to core curriculum or the way the administration reacts to the opinions of the students. Most of the professors know my name- but I found that classes were a lot easier in general than I expected. Most of the students I have been placed into groups with in class don't care about their grades and I end up doing all the work. I love my public relations major, but we need more classes that have to do with the major, and less science and computer programming classes. I don't think QU helps enough with internship and job placement or research.

Professors here are all mostly very willing to help and be there for you. The learning center is a great resource that I have used often. It definitely prepares you for the future.
