when you have a good professor it's amazing, when you don't have a good professor it kinda sucks

Yes my professors know my name. My favorite class is child development and my least favorite is physics. Students study often and class participation different depending on the class, but often relatively minimal. Child Development Psych is the most unique class that I've taken. My major is physical therapy or education. Quinnipiac is geared toward getting a job and learning for its own sake.

The academics here are very good. There are a lot of majors to choose from, and each one is looked upon very seriously. The physical therapy program is a popular one here, and there are also many people in the business school, as myself. The business school has a very effective course plan and is extremely helpful for everything we learn later down the road.

I'm in a really good program-Nursing. It's very demanding; we need a 3.0 GPA every semester and cumulative. I know most of the students in my classes just because we are around each other all the time. The classes i have taken that aren't nursing related I haven't enjoyed so much. I felt that students never came to class and nobody did any outside work until it came time for the test. For example, I took an Economics class Sophomore year, which was probably my least favorite class that I have taken. The professor was rude to me and was reluctant to give help when I needed it (i'm really bad at econ). The professors in the nursing program, while their classes are difficult, are always there if you need help in any way. I already feel prepared to go out and get a job as a nurse becasue of the program here.

most professors know your name. Favorite class is anatomy because of the professor. Least favorite are the qu classes because all the teachers take it too seriously and give too much busy work. Students study if they want to do well. Class participation is common by a few group of kids.

My least favorite class is Qu 101. For a class like this the curriculum should be completely the same for all the different sections of the class. Some classes are fly by classes where you go and sit there for an A grade and others are rediculous with the work that you are given.

I think the academics at Quinnipiac are better than most people give them credit for. And while everyone says the health science majors have it the hardest, that's just because they have more work. Us liberal arts kids actually do a lot of work also and it's not as easy as everyone thinks. The professors always knew every student's name, however students don't participate in class a lot.
Ashley
I know all my professors name and they mostly all know my name as well. In the school of communications most of the professors have actually worked in the industry so it's definately a plus to get their insider information on the business. Students that I've come across don't really seem that competitive, but everyone spends a lot of time on their homework, and in the library

Despite the fact that a few of my classes have over 50 people in them, the professors know every student's name. I feel like raising the GPA requirement for the Dean's List makes people take a little more pride in their grades, and in the school of health sciences especially I feel like there is some competition. The professors make every effort to make themselves available to students outside of class. It's impossible not to study often for science classes, but if you're willing to put in the effort the classes aren't too bad.

classes are small so professors do know your name
