I would have applied to more schools in florida sooner than i did. I would have not left the state and i would have told my self to remember financial aid deadlines on time.

The advice I would give myself is to make it a good habbit to study and read. Get acustommed to finish assignments and projects on time; do not procrastinate!! I would recomend Elizabeth Toribio not to copy other students work because you will create a bad habbit of relying on others instead of yourself. Getting involved in comunity service activities and/or school activities would be a great recomendation to myself. I would tell myself to try to take a couple of AP classes or do dual enrollment. Before graduating I would tell "me" to apply early for scholarships and to do research on colleges that suites you and your career. To sum it all up, I would tell myself to stay focused on whats important in life and to stay dedicated. Never lose hope in yourself.

College life has a ying and yang: social life and academic life. Keep everything balanced and you will be just fine. If you overwhelm yourself with work, you can possibly begin to feel helpless and get the urge to give up. If you give too much attention to the social aspect, you will begin to lose focus on your reason for being in college (to get a degree). So my key piece of advice to a healthy college life is balancing both work and play. You will be happy and the transition will not be as hard. I made the mistake of not balancing and it pushed me way back in my studies and inconvenienced me in several ways. So I have learned my lesson and I'm starting fresh at a new school so I can focus on having the right balance. And if I had knew then what I knew now, I would be much happier and further along in my studies.

I would advise myself to stay focused on my goals. As a senior, your mind is on many different things . Y ou need to get your priorities straight, study, and hang around people who are succesful. Because you are the average of the five people you hang around.

I would say to myself that i should have worked a little more harder and studied more often. Its time to grow up and show your parents what your are really made of instead of putting them through so much fustration. Be kind to those who always have your back because you never know who will be there for you when your in a tight bind. Listen to the counselors they know what they are talking about. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Yes you want to fit in and make everyone happy but at the end of the day its you who has to go through the obstacles at hand. Stop trying to find the easy way out of everything its only going to get harder and harder. Your parents will be proud if you just sit down and listen to what they are saying instead of putting up a fight. Finally, stop turning your back on the people who love you the most.

I'll advise to use time wisely and search for more scholarships now. There are abudant of scholarships, however more of them are for high school seniors than college students. Be smart take all the opportunities you can; unfortunately once you are in college there gone! Lastly, take more AP credits because college books and materials are also a grand expense.

To make sure not to procrastinate. In order to reach your desired goals you must be dedicated and passionate about getting it done and continuing to improve your education.

When I first graduated from high school I thought college was going to be really hard, and don't get wrong it is, it has to be because we are learning things we never knew before, which is the whole point about going to school. Now, where I messed up was when I began to slack a little from school. Of course I cought myself and now I am doing a lot better. If I had the chance to go back into time, to talk to myself as a senior, I would of definitly told myself that there is no possible way I will allow myself to slack in college. That I definitly need to keep my head up all through out. As well as if there were teachers I felt are not doing their job, or couldn't understand them for some reason, then I should constantly go to my counselor and have me change professors.
