What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
The most important thing that high school seniors should know is that it's normal to be unsure of what you want to do upon graduation. These students should not be discouraged from attending college though. It is normal to not be sure what direction you want to go after graduation, after all your life has been planned out for you until now but your 18 and the decisions you make now will impact the rest of your life. It's a lot of pressure but if you make the choice to attend college now you will thank yourself later. First, you should look into different colleges and weigh out your options by looking at things like what do you want to get out of your college experience? Or how close do you want to stay to home? Look at what academic options your schools offer and go visit the campuses. Once you pick your school the first year or so will be general education and this will give you time to make your career choice. Take all the time you need and utilize your campus resources. There are always people there to help you make your career decision!

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
Ivy Tech is small and easy to navigate. All of the employees are eager to help you on your way from enrollment to graduation. They want to assist you in taking the classes needed to meet your goals, as well as helping you discover the path that works best for you. The campus itself is comfortable, and the online Campus Connect is also user friendly. Aside from the cozy atmosphere, the price for Ivy tech-from tuition to books to fees-is less expensive than the other schools I have considered, even for the same classes.

What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
The stereotype of students that usually attend community college is lazy and unmotivated to go to a "real" university. But here at Ivy Tech, the opposite is true. Although some students really couldn't get into a university because of high school grades, the students here are motivated and focused. These students are clearly going places. It's obvious in their work ethic and class projects

What kind of person should not attend this school?
This school is perfect for anyone unless the student is looking to live on-campus because that is not offered. Even students looking for a 4 year degree I think would not be disapointed to get started at this school. I myself am wanting a 4 year degree but have found that starting at this school is going to better prepare me for my transfer to a larger school. Not to mention this school is very affordable.
