I believe it is an amazing school. It had tons of opportunities for study groups and help, even people to check your work before you submit it. There is math, writing and science labs just for this were you can just walk in. Or even just email them and they will email you back telling what needs to be fixed. I loved vising this school and believe it is just as amazing as it is affordable .

Indiana University Southeast (IUS) offers an enriching and supportive college experience with several standout features. The on-campus housing is exceptional, with apartment-style living that surpasses traditional dorm setups, offering students a more independent and comfortable environment. Most professors are highly accessible and committed to helping students succeed, often going above and beyond to provide extra support when needed. The campus is vibrant with a wide array of extracurricular activities, clubs, and events that cater to diverse interests. IUS also prioritizes student well-being and safety; the campus police are attentive and genuinely concerned for students' security. For additional support, IUS provides a food pantry and an on-site daycare for student parents, highlighting its commitment to meeting various student needs. Located in New Albany, the university benefits from the vibrant local scene. Downtown New Albany is bustling with fun places to unwind, offering students numerous weekend entertainment options. IUS further supports academic success with free tutoring and completely free counseling services, ensuring that students have access to necessary resources without financial strain. However, there are some downsides to consider. Class sizes can be relatively small, and classroom space is limited, which can sometimes result in certain classes being capped at a specific number of students. These limitations might impact course availability and student experience in some cases. Overall, Indiana University Southeast provides a well-rounded college experience with many benefits, though prospective students should be mindful of the potential constraints related to class sizes and availability.

I transferred to IUS this year and I love it. The dorms are nice, the people are friendly, the classes are small and fun, the professors are helpful and caring, the campus is beautiful, and it is really easy to walk to class especially if you live on campus. The atmosphere is just amazing.

Indiana University Southeast is amazing! The people there is what makes the campus thrive. You never meet a stranger over there because everyone is always so kind and ready to help you in a heartbeat. For an example, my second week of college, my mother passed away, sadly. I missed about a week of college, and my Psychology Professor actually came to my mom's funeral and supported me! She only knew me for 2 weeks but drove quite a distance just to be there for me. The professors at the university has an unique golden heart. What caught my attention to the university at first was their beautiful campus. Many trees, a lot of geese, and a beautiful lake. The housing (I don't reside in) is also set up very well. At the University, their food is spectacular. They have many options to choose from, whether you decide to eat in the Commons, Papa Johns, or Subway in the library, you won't ever go hungry! The Coffee Shop is located right down the hallway from the commons and they have the best smoothie that you can take to class!

  4. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing about my attending IU Southeast is the distance from home. It's only a two hour drive, but that becomes a long drive when I like to go home on the weekends. I get home sick and want to spend more time with my family, but I have to wait for the weekend since it's a four hour drive both ways. I try to drive during daylight hours and this limits my time at home.

If there was one thing I wish I would have known before coming to this school, it would have to be the system by which we communicate with our teachers online. Even though it was quite confusing in the beginning, it proves to be a very useful tool for all needs concerning your grades.
