Don't give up! With perserverance you can find a way to make it all work. The rewards will be so much better if you finish school now, versus trying to juggle school, work, kids, and part time businesses when you're 35.

What do you want to be when you grow up? That is a question that we all have been asked at one point of our lives. The scary part about that question, especially as a high school senior is, what are you going to do with your life? Chasing your dreams is absolutely the right answer. With the right planning and preparation for college anyone can pursue their dreams.
Planning for college is definitely the most crucial decisions a high school senior has to consider and decide on. Tuition, living expenses, books and supplies are all major roles that help the student decide on which college best suits his or her needs and education. Student loans can be very frightening, however, with the right guidance and understanding a student can afford the right school and education that he or she wants and deserves. There are multiple options out there that help provide a student?s way through college. Scholarships, grants, financial aid, and student loans are all available to students who qualify. Most importantly, start saving money now! The better the student becomes with managing and saving money will definitely help in making those dreams turn into a reality.

I would tell myself that The college path is definitely the right choice for me. I would also tell myself that I need to apply for more scholarships to help, as times like this it greats really tough and money gets tight.

If I could talk some sense into my 18 year old self I would really emphasize the importance of going to college for something that I enjoy doing. Also I would have to tell myself that moving away to go to school really helps make the experience that much better.
I'd have to tell myself that if I hadn't found something that I love doing I would still be at the community college, working at random jobs that I hate, and going nowhere in life. Moving out of my parents house and to another state completely, was the smartest thing I could've ever done to better myself because I can learn at my own pace with my own ways and I dont have my parents breathing down my neck.
I would also tell myself that I need to get motivated. Instead of wasting time at the community college and waiting till I was 23 to move out, I should've moved out when I was 19 or 20, because now I would've been done with school and hopefully working somewhere.

If I had the chance to speak to myself as a senior, I would of told myself to pay attention more in math class. Math is a great thing that no one should worry. It is all around us and is used everyday. I would of also told myself to volunteer. Even though I volunteered a couple of times, I should have done it more often. Not because it looks good on your resume and college application but because it feels good to help others. The last piece of advice I would have given to myself is not to worry about the future. That if I work hard, study and believe in a bright future, good things will come.

College life will be very different then living at home. You will be responsible for your own well being. You will have to manage both your school life and home life. It is very important to be organized in both areas. Attending every class and completeing all your work on time is important, of course, but it will also be necessary to put in an extra effort. You must do all that you can do to excel in your field and make the most of the opportunities that you are given. It is also very important to learn not only from the classes and the professors, but to learn from each other and work together with your fellow students. College is an opportunity to learn and grow through the free exchange of ideas. It is this interaction between students and teachers where learning takes place.

If I could go back and talk to myself as a high school senior the first thing I would tell myself would be to hang on because it's going to be a bumpy ride. Next I would thoroughly explain that funding for school is the hardest part of getting to school. That throughout your entire college career you will be fighting to get money to attend school for your dream, it isnt going to be handed to you and you will have to work very extremely hard for it. I would explain to start signing up for as many scholarships as possible and to make very sure that you do your utmost best at all your school work, so that when you graduate any loans you had to take out you can pay back. Funding for school is the hardest thing in the universe to get, and if you dont have funding you can never achieve your dream.

I would say, "Valentina, don't give in to feeling the pressure to just attend any college just because everyone expects it of you. Know why and what you want to accomplish in your education pursuit so as to not waste valuable time and money chasing someone else's dream for you that is not your own. Take the time now to really take an honest look at yourself and connect with what you believe you really want to end up doing with your life. Define your true goal that fuels your passions. Research all the possibilities to become equipped, including opportunities in financial aide to help solve the lack of funds. You are being limited by other's not knowing or seeing a bigger picture for you. Find some help and support from people that are doing what you want to do for encouragement and information. Once you have a plan, stick to it! It may not be easy sometimes, but remember that you are beginning on your journey to end up not just to work to live, but to live in order to accomplish your life's work." This is just the beginning of that journey!

The best advice I could give myself would be to work hard not only for myself, but to set an example to my friends and family that I can do the work to achieve an excellent grade, but to also show what it takes to ultimately graduate college with determination. Secondly, to not be afraid to seek help from those around me. Not only because they are there to help you when you need it, but it will also show how much dedication I would have to get things done right. And finally, to be organized. It will help me out in the long run. Balance is key here, so being organized would help me in many ways such as being on top of everything for school but also knowing when I have free time to go out and refresh my mind whether with friends and/or family. So that when I hit the books again, I know I have moral and mental support in succeeding through my years as a college student and finally graduating when school is done.
