East Georgia State College REVIEWS

What's your overall opinion of East Georgia State College?

16 Students rated East Georgia State College

Virginia - 03/10/2022

East Georgia State college is an in-between school. Most people attend East Georgia to save money on their first two years of college and then transfer to their desired university after that. Most students are local and unconcerned to make new friends. Professors are hit and miss. Administration is acceptable, but not outstanding. Overall, the school serves it's purpose: to provide cheap education and help your GPA until you can get where you actually want to go.

East Georgia is an amazing college! It might not be for everyone, but I enjoy the small class size. I also really like how close you are to your professors there, and they care about you doing your best. In big schools you could just get lost in the class, but not here, you have to be active. Being active during class means a better learning experience. It's extremely easy to make friends, because the school is so small, it's almost like everyone knows each other. I love it here! Going to East Georgia has been one of the best decisions of my life!

This College is the perfect fit for an individual who enjoys the "Hometown" feel of a campus. The faculty and staff are unbelievable and the assistance I received to set me up for the rest of college. As a baseball player, the sports were extremely enjoyable, everything is close together so you can walk from a basketball game to a baseball game just by going out the right door in the gymnasium. Anyone looking to go to junior college because of affordability, or maybe you haven't decided on a major, East Georgia College is the best Junior College in the state of Georgia.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell my senior self many things. I would advise her to choose East Georgia instead of Georgia Southern. I would also explain to her how important studying really is and that college is way different than high school. I would tell her she would have a lot of fun, however she would need to have fun only on the weekends, and not every night. I am glad that looking back now, I have changed and matured a lot as a person. I think that I am doing a lot better in school now than I ever had.
