Love the small size, the faculty, and the sense of community. Obviously it's great academically, even if the workload is a little overwhelming at times. School pride is terrific, especially with the recent success of our basketball team.

The Big Picture for Davidson is community. The atmosphere at Davidson is truely unique. Everyone pretty much knows everyone else on campus, at least by sight, and most students tend to get along. It's hard not to find someone to stop and talk with as you are walking between classes or to the Union. (Students often schedule in extra time to get places because they know this will happen!) There are virtually no exclusive parties on campus and everyone is mostly welcoming. Student-Professor relations are excellent and it's not uncommon to see students dining with professors around campus or hanging out at the Brickhouse. The town and the college enjoy a very close relationship, one of like and trust. The Honor Code really binds all these elements together to create an atmosphere of family extending throughout Daviddson.

What's the best thing about Davidson?
- probably the fact that it's so academically challenging...
Name one thing you'd change.
- I'd change the fake-ness of people, but perhaps that's just the South...
Is your school too large, too small, or just right?
- it's a bit too small
How do people react when you tell them you go to Davidson?
- before they would say: where's that? now they say - oh, steph curry goes there, right? that small school that did really well in the NCAA
Where do you spend most of your time on campus?
- in the school Union
College town, or "what college town?"
- college down
What's your opinion of Davidson's administration?
- it could be better... too southern - nobody's honest with other people to their face
What was the biggest recent controversy on campus?
- no idea...
Is there a lot of school pride?
- yes, especially after the NCAA run in 2008
Is there anything unusual about Davidson?
- yes, the honor code and how it really works when it comes to exams.
What's one experience you'll always remember?
- traveling with the guys to the NCAA 2008... it's been unforgetable being part of all that with the team
What are the most frequent student complaints?
- grades, what else.

Sometimes it can be too small because a lot of people think they know you and can be very judgemental, at the same time it is nice to always have friends in your classes and see people you know no matter where you go, you will never feel alone!
Jessie
classes are incredibly difficult, coming from a public high school. diversity is preached way too much. stephen curry is amazing

If I could change anything at Davidson it would be the average GPA.

I love the town of Davidson. We as students have a great relationship with the town. One of my favorite things about Davidson is that we have no fast food or much commercial business at all. I love walking into town to go to a local restaurant (though there are few) rather than going to a chain restaurant. We are close to many chains and various local restaurants in driving distance, but I love the small town feel that not having commercial restaurants has preserved. Charlotte is creeping toward us, so I appreciate the preservation thus far of our small town.

The best thing about Davidson is the Honor Code, the fact that we can self-schedule our finals and leave belongings in one place for a few hours at a time and trust that they will still be there is a great aspect of comminuty life on campus. Most people do not immediately react when I tell them I go to Davidson because they are not familiar with it (especially people from Chicago) but I think that has changed a lot in the last few months particularly due to our basketball success. There is a considerable amount of school pride, but it may be too heavily associated with our basketball team, I think we can have more pride for our honor code and academic success. I love that Davidson has distinct events that take place annually, such as Spring Frolics and First Night Down. Events such as these shape the social culture at Davidson, and make it distinct and unique.

Davidson is full of school spirit that is reflected in the Honor Code- we can all trust each other to the fullest, which is unique to Davidson. I think the small size really makes a difference. Davidson students are happy!
