Many of the professors do make a pretty good attempt at getting to know the students here, I think I am gaining a pretty good relationship with many of them. I do not like the advising system however. I think it could definitly use some work. My major is apparel merchandising and marketing and I really like my program and the classes I am taking. It is a pretty small program so the people in my classes know each other. The students are not cometitve though, they want to help eachother out and see one another succucede. I think that our professors want us to succeced also. I think that the academic requierments at CSU are much like other colleges, not to rigourous, but in my major it is very laid out for you, and if you get behind or transfer in you are behind. I transfered in and will not be able to graduate for awhile now, because they did not accept the classes that I took at my previous school even though they were the same class.

The professors at CSU are generally great teachers. In the smaller classes I have taken, the professors remember all the students' names and the students participate more. The classes are large for general courses, but when you start taking higher level courses the classes become smaller.

I study a little every day, and a lot before tests. I enjoy all my classes except for introduction to visual arts. It is a really boring class and I can never stay awake.

Professors here are very good, i have a couple who i even visit and know each other on a first name bases. the Proffessors here are really concerned about the student and will do everything to help

The professors are hard to contact, but when you do half of them really don't want to talk to you. The advising in the civil engineering department is almost non existant for freshmen.

The academics at CSU are challenging and very beneficial. I have gotten to know a few of my professors but most of them probably don't know my name. My favorite class is Physics 121. The content is often complicated but there are plenty of help sessions and the teacher makes a valid effort to provide the most help possible. He also makes an effort to get to know students the best he possibly can.

There are definitely huge class sizes, and for the most part the professors don't know your name. You have to take the initiative to excel academically.
