About 1/4 of professors know my name. Favorite class would have to be logic and critical thinking with professor speers. Least favorite by far is business statistics with Lampros. Most unique class i've taken is ethnicity and the media with julie sullivan. I think it's a great class and recommend it to all.

Intro classes (freshman and sophomore year) at CSU are usually huge, so you have to make an effort with professors to get them to know your name. There's also a core curriculum, but it's pretty basic (the classes you take depend on your major.) Some majors here focus on equipping you to get a job (Business, Broadcasting and Electronic Media, Journalism, Education, Engineering, Meteorology, etc), while other majors (Classics, Letters, Philosophy, History) are just learning for the hell of it.
My major is Professional Writing. It's a tiny major within the Journalism Department that focuses on a freelance or creative writing career (rather than the factual reporting style of mainstream journalism.) I usually spend anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours a night on school work. Overall, as a major, Journalism at CSU is pretty incredible. The instructors have amazing industry experience, and the Journalism building is equipped with the newest technology on the market.
Oh, one course outside my major that everyone should take - you cannot leave this university without Rufus Fears' "Freedom in Rome" or "Freedom in Greece" classes. He is the most captivating speaker I have ever heard, and he actually makes ancient history fun. He lectures with a broomstick pole in his hand so he can act out battles, and he's been known to stab students or cut off their heads with it during passionate fight scenes.
Occasionally students will have intellectual conversations outside of class, but most of the time conversation focuses on sports, parties and Greek life.

I think that the smaller classes at CSU are better for most students it gives more room for one-on- one interaction with the teachers.

At CSU, students are fairly competitive. We like getting good grades, but we are not arrogant pricks. My favorite class so far is astronomy. Astronomy was very hard, but by far the most interesting class I have taken.

I am a consrtuction management business major and i really enjoy my major classes. The other classes that are required to take i don't like cause i don't want to be their. The classes sizes are the perfect size in my opinion. The major classes say geology and statistics are on the largers size, but the classes in my major are reallitively small.

Professors with a class of 50 or more do not know my name, nor do I blame them. I wouldn't be able to learn all the names of the students every semester. My favorite classes typically are the ones with my favorite professors. A professor can make or break a class for me, even if I love the topic and am interested in it. I like when they use humor and are really comfortable with the students.

Calc is my favorite class.
