Central Community College for me was a pleasant experience. I was a blended student so I didn't live on campus nor eat on campus but I have heard that it's average. I have just graduated from this college and I can say that this college made it easy for me to transfer to a four-year university. If you are looking to transfer to a four-year university, or just get your associate's degree then I would highly recommend Central Community College.

I have been very impressed with the quality of the teaching at CCC. Professors create engaging courses and are available to help students. Free tutoring is also offered. In rural Nebraska, you can't beat CCC for value when it comes to earning credits that can be easily transferred to degree programs at the University of Nebraska. As long as you consult your advisor and do your research on accepted credits for the university program you want to transfer to, you can save almost half of the cost of a bachelor's degree.

My opinion of Central Community College is a inexpensive and affordable school for all ages. It is a great place to start your college with many local students and it's unique diversity of people make it fun to meet new people that come from out of states and country to play sports. I would highly recommend going to Central Community College.

I think Central Community College will be an awesome school to go to and I recommend it to anyone. The campus has 24-hour security and if your not safe you can call them and have them walk you to you dorm. They have a variety of food and they have outstanding dorms. Overall I think CCC is a great place to be so I choose Central Community College for Culinary Arts in Hastings.

Central Community College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Central Community College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Central Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I had the opportunity to visit myself in the year 2005 (which is when I became a high school senior); I would discuss the benefitial opportunity of taking time from school before applying oneself directly in any educational direction. Personally, having experience the "adult and real" world of taxes, bills, and family life - having the time to live through tough emotional situations allows me to reevaluate what I would like to do with my life (occupationally speaking). I would tell my seventeen year-old self to take time for myself; discover the world around me (whether that be through traveling the United States, or Globally) or simply taking a metaphysical breather from academia to discover who I am. This time is necessary because high school isn't always the be way of being prepared for adulthood; life is - these are the things that I would tell myself, if I had that opportunity to return to my senior year self.

  4. Describe your favorite campus traditions.

The school I attend is best known for it's attentiveness to it's students, and it's wonderful programs of study. The instructors go out of their way to make sure the students understand the material presented to them, what is expected of them, and what they can do to help you if you encounter trouble understanding the material they present.

  5. What's unique about your campus?

I went to the Hastings Campus and the best thing about that campus is their Phi Theta Kappa chapter. I was an active member and an officer. It was a great way to be involved in the campus and it was for Honor Students and that made it even better because it weeded out the party students and the students that did not care. Why it is the best thing about the campus is because out of all the clubs on campus it is the most successful. We win the top Regional awards every year.

  8. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I think the worst thing about Central Community College is that it is located in a smaller area of the state. The staff and faculty at CCC really care about the students and work hard for them. I would love to see this kind of energy and care for the students in the larger areas where more students could be helped.

  11. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The most frustrating thing about the school would be the cafeteria. Most colleges have this problem, but the cafeteria at this campus makes majority of the students want to buy their own food and you have to pay for a meal-plan at the school. Most students waste their money paying for the cafeteria food and the food from the grocery store that they actually eat. The problem is that the students complain about the food and yet the college will not do anything to fix the problem.
