What are the academics like at your school?
Except for the freshmen-level science courses (Biology, mainly), classes are small enough that if you speak up every once in awhile or introduce yourself to the teacher, they will definitely learn your name and say hi when they see you outside of class.

What is your overall opinion of this school?
Creighton has the perfect size campus. You are constantly running into friends in between classes or on your way out on the weekend. Creighton athletics are amazing, and going to games is one of the best ways to have fun on campus. Plus, we are a wet campus so alcohol is allowed at events and in dorms, if you're over 21 of course.
Omaha is a great place to go to school. Campus is right by the Old Market, and within driving distance to malls, restaurants, Rosenblatt stadium, the Qwest Center which has athletic events and major concerts, and the SlowDown, Saddle Creek Records new bar/concert venue. The underground music scene is amazing here if you know where to look!

It is very Catholic but still provides resourses for other religions. The overall cost of this school is more than any others I applied to but with the financial aid they gave me it ended up being the cheapest option.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
When I talk to my friends about my experience at Creighton University, I always let them know what amazing opportunities I have had. Both my freshman and sophomore years, I was accepted into living communities on Creighton?s campus. My first community was academically focused, which helped me adjust to college and allowed me to form a core group of friends. In my second living community, we spent time in service to the larger Omaha community. Through these experiences, I believe that Creighton has allowed me to grow in unique ways to grow into a fuller and more complete person.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
You have to watch the financial aid office. If you think you are not getting what you should be getting for aid then go in and talk to them. If they can get by with not giving you what you should have then they will. Also, you have to be very careful about transfer credits. There are some subjects like history where it is very difficult to get them to accept the credits.

What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
Catholic school kids/nerdy. Yes and no to both. There is a HUGE population of private school kids in general (mostly Catholic, but some other types.) Most people here are sort of nerdy, but you do have some of the Greeks that try to act otherwise.

What kind of person should attend this school?
I recommend any type of person to attend this school, especially those who are determined to make a difference. My school is really diverse and has small class sizes, we are all here for specific career paths in which we want to help people out. Creighton University is not just about using our careers to help people, we are taught to help others through service projects. We help many people in our community as well outside of the community.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
If you are not ready to grow as a person and expand your view of the world, I would not suggest coming to Creighton University. Yes, Creighton is challenging academically, but Creighton challenges you to be excellent in every way, not just academically. The Jesuit Values emphasized at Creighton work toward this, and encourage students to develop as whole people. These values are not just important for Catholics, but for every student. If you are not open to this idea, you will be missing out on the greatest thing that Creighton University has to offer you in your college experience.
