Cecil College REVIEWS

What's your overall opinion of Cecil College?

Jaylah - 05/29/2023

Cecil College is a great community college. Since the school is somewhat small compared to a university, students are able to get in contact with professors more often. Also, student needs are met if they are in need. Besides that, the advisors and staff truly want to see students succeed and are indeed helpful. Not only do they help, but people are very nice. When it comes to education, it's excellent whether online or in-person.

McKale - 06/03/2020

It's a good school to get your associates. Get in get out kind of feel. It is a solid community with a lot of support at different games . The professors are very helpful and there is easy access to them. Other faculty members love to help their students as well.

Victoria - 05/17/2020

I love that most of the classes are small. The professors are all very nice and helpful, as well as highly knowledgeable in their field. The administration staff are kind and work with you to ensure that you have all the information you need to have a great experience.

Trina - 12/18/2019

It is a decent school. I have found one friend since I have been going to school here. In the Writing Lab the tutors are awesome. A couple of the professors that I have had are pretty cool. I have been to another school where I really enjoyed going to and I really enjoyed my teachers and wished that they taught here at Cecil College.

  3. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I would have wanted to know how to be myself around others instead of being so self conscious and shy. When I first arrived at school it was difficult to live in a place where I knew absolutely no one and have to go to events by myself to meet new people. If I would of forgiven myself of my flaws and just simply starting talking to people I would of had a more enjoyable first five months.

  6. Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.

A wonderful option I am very thankful for as a student who needed to stay at home and commute while going through some rough medical procedures who did not have the option to move away from home or away from his hospital. (Crohn's Disease, Colectomy/Ileostomy)

  7. What are the most popular student activities/groups?

the most popular groups for Cecil to my knowledge is the Baseball team and the theatrical performances at Milborn Stone Theater (On Campus). There are no dorms so the campus has no night life, but there are newly built apartments RIGHT down the road which I have heard are quite nice and reasonably priced.

  8. What's unique about your campus?

The best thing about my school is the scence study rooms. These are really nice for people who have a major where they are required to take hard science classes like Anatomy and Physiology. I took this class and I spent alot of time in the study rooms because there were diagrams and models that we needed to study for our exams.

Since "Cecil College" used to be "Cecil Community College" most people presume that those attending are poor/not intelligent, since the school allows almost any one in. This is not the case. Cecil College is full of all sorts of students from all sorts of backgrounds.
