I honestly chose Baylor University because my parents didn’t let me go out-of-state for school. I pretty much felt like I was settling when I confirmed admission. Now, after only a few months of being here, I look back at how naïve I was and ignorant to Baylor's greatness. The faculty is so willing to help students and there are resources everywhere on campus that allow students to truly succeed here. There is definitely diversity, and it shows through the variety of organizations on campus. The religious aspect of this school shouldn’t scare students off because they can be as involved or uninvolved as they want in spiritual life. Another thing that makes the Baylor experience so great is the emphasis that is put on reaching out to the community and undergraduate research. The school spirit and traditions that exist at the school are other things that make Baylor such an awesome community. It is a well-rounded campus, with strong academic and athletic programs. A Baylor education is definitely something that I'l never cease to be proud of. I’m a Baylor Bear and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Learned more about myself and others

At first I was very nervous to be attending college. I kept hearing horror stories of people failing out or graduating and not finding a job.
But when I stepped on campus I immediately felt like I belonged there. I loved it! I made friends and joined in on campus activities. I even made a 3.4 my first semester!
I learned so much from the 2 years I’ve been at college. So far my college experience has taught me that the world isn’t so scary when you really look at it. People can actually be friendly and helping. I don’t have to go on feeling alone and afraid, I just have to be myself and really enjoy what I chose to do.
Attending college has been very valuable to me. I have learned so much more than I thought and it really encouraged me to want to give back to my community. I decided to be a registered nurse that I can always be an advocate for people that normally wouldn’t have much of a voice.
I wouldn’t trade my college experience for anything.

My college experience has been amazing. It is wonderful to be around so many well trained and experienced professionals that can teach me everything I want and need to know about the Diesel/Automotive Industry. They are experts who can answer any questions I have.
I have matured so much. I have found that the world is a lot different than what I thought it was. Once I found something I wanted to do the decisions for my life became much easier to make. In high school I was not the best student, I did not have the best grades, and I had no purpose to my life. College has given me self-confidence and purpose. Now, I am learning something I love, and I get to learn it in a way that I understand it.
When I complete my college program, I will be very successful in what I want to do. I will be able to go to an employer and show them that I am knowledgeable, that I have excellent training, and that I am a professional because of what I have learned at Lincoln College of Technology.

I have learned to think for myself. To form my own ideals based not on my what my parents have told me, but what i have experienced. I have learned to defend my beliefs, but have also gained a new appreciation for open-mindedness. I have learned for growth to happen there must be conflicting interest allowed to develop so that progress must be made in melding the two so that the best possible solution is always met.

My college experience has been a huge part of my life. The classes I have taken have given me insight on the world. I have learned that I want to do more for people. Whether it is teaching young ones about nutrition or helping build a house with Habitat for Humanity. College has given me the tools to communicate and understand the communication process. Since my parents never had an education it taught me to teach them and help them understand why we are the way we are. From the Psychology to the History and Spanish courses I have taken, they have helped me gain an appreciation for learning. High school was not my favorite but now that I am in College it is different. I feel I found myself. I also love reading which to many is a suprise because I hated to read when I was younger. I am taking nursing classes now and it is amazing to learn about the physiology of your body because it can help anybody in the world.

So far out of the one and a half years that I have attended college, I have learned the importance of taking seriously what I want to do with my life. I go to school everyday and usually meet an adult with kids, putting themselves through college, yet again. They always say that they should've never dropped out in the first place and had stuck through with it. I desire to learn from other people's mistakes and take advantage of the opportunities my school has given me so far. I think that it is valuable to go to college in order to make sense of oneself and to find what interests you and you could see yourself doing. As it was once said, " if you find a job that you love it will never seem like a job", in my opinion, I think that that statement is entirely true. I strive to find the career and job just right for me and by going to school it gives me the chance to find my niche it the world.

I have yet started College so I am not really sure. Getting enrolled into College was really complicated though, I have been having a lot of complications with Finanical Aid and my Mom now won't be able to help me pay for school. I have been applying for a lot of scholarships throughout the weeks since I have been enrolled, I really hope I catch a few because I am really scared of paying school all by myself which I am currently unemployed and collecting unemployment. I am ready to start school and get on with learning about my future career so I can finally have an adult job. I really wish I started College after I graduated High School now, I would of been on my way by now.

Attending college has showed me a lot of things. For example i have learned how to be more organized and learned how to make room for money. Being in college made me wonder "how did I accomplished to graduate from high school?" now i practice every day. i have to organize my schedule, make room for some homework. every now and then i feel frustrated because i can not organize my time to make my homework at home and come to school. so i bought my first calendar and i presured myself to be more organized with my time. i lovge attending school is like if i am learning new things every semester and that way when my neace attends school i can help her out to or any family and friends. i am also have to learn how to plan my budget because i was 1 semester with out money and it was hard to get the materiasl the proffesor required me to get. i somethimes have to ask my sister or friends for a loan so i can get that and then pay them when i have cash to pay them. i value attending college.

Attending Baylor University best choice I have made in life. I am becoming confident in the material being taught and learning not only published material but hands on, field experience that will allow me to succeed in my profession.
