Barton College is a small private school. It isn’t too small or too big. Personally, I think Barton College is a good starter school if you wanted to start small then transfer to a bigger college. Barton has various extracurricular activities for students. Some include trivia nights, bingo nights, and game nights. Game nights are like corn hole outside on main campus.

Barton College is a small, tight-knit school that cares about its students. Professors are engaged in the school and local community and are always helpful. Peer tutors are knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

Tuition should not be as expensive as it is to attend. Barton College is not a large campus and if you do decide to live on campus understand everyone knows everyone. The dorms are not as clean as they should be and custodians can be mean sometimes. Barton is an okay place to be if you want a small school and want a small classroom setting.

Barton College FAQS

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back to my senior year and sit down with myself for a talk, I would simply tell myself to take high school more serious. While in high school I did very well academically, but I didn't actually take it that seriously. I realized in my first two years of college that I truely didn't know how to study. However, I learned how to study very quickly. Even though I have never struggled in college, it still would have been extremely beneficial to already have acquired this skill before college. I think this is something most seniors in high school don't do. They enjoy their last year of high school almost too much. While enjoying one's senior year, they need to evaluate their skills and make sure they are truely ready for what is ahead.
