This school has a beautiful campus that feels safe and gives you a workout while walking to class because of all the hills! The red brick buildings show the age, and history that comes with the college. There are many extra cuticular activities available, so it is easy to find things to do outside of class. Pullman has a small town feel, while providing many stores to buy groceries and other essential items. The three WSU book stores are great places to buy text books as well as plenty of Cougar attire that help keep the college spirit alive!

The diverse community and my school is trying to get more hispanics and african-american students to attend the school as well.

This campus is unique in that it is almost completely a college town. The majority of the people we see on and off campus are students and it is kind of like its own world. Off course, when we have tours of the campus to high school students and transfers we are welcoming but for the most part everyone that attends Washington State University sees mostly other college students on a daily basis.

WSU is high in spirit and proud of their alma mater. The unique quality of WSU is the admiral focus that targeted college students. The city of Pullman is basically a "college town." The population rose by at least 20,000 when school was in session. Pullman was comfortable, not intimidating and I felt it was easy to make lifetime friends. WSU is also very family oriented, there are a number of events that honor parents. There is a Mom's Weekend and a Dad's Weekend.

My school is split up into four schools WSU-Tricities (the school I attend), Spokane, Vancouver and the head school Pullman. WSU Tricities is a smaller campus than most it has about 1500 students give or take. Class sizes are fairly small so being able to consentrate in a lecture is easy as wellas getting to know the professors.

Washington State University has a strong sense of pride in the 'Coug' spirit and it is quite compelling. I have gone to several other campuses and have never felt the intoxicating feeling of a sense of togetherness like the way WSU has. WSU also has a wide variety of prestigious curriculum, which is why i chose WSU. For the Nutrition and Exercise Physiology program it offers.

My school is unique in that it is small and has students of varying ages with the same goal to receive their undergrad or graduate degree. With the varying ages it gives students an idea of what the "real" world outside the campus is going to be. There are plenty of activities for the younger generation to participate in even though it is considered a "commuter" campus, unlike the main campus in Pullman which has dorms and sports teams.

Jordan

Unlike other schools i looked at, my school is in a campus-based town and allows students to be part of a community. Since the buildings are all on campus, all a student has to do is walk to class. I feel it is not neccessary to bring a car to school which saves me money. Washington State University also has one of the nicest Rec centers on this side of the country.

Washington State University is unique in the ability to alter your major however many ways you need to, and how the system is set up so that you don't add years onto your graduation date. You could be a pre-veterinarian student one day, and the next you are a psychology major. WSU is so diverse in its available programs that students are able to follow their dreams, and get on the right track for their education in their selected field of work. Corollary, students have a much more optimistic view to college.
