You don't neccessarily have find the right college in order for it to be the right one for you. I know when I first attended school, I wasn't too sure if i wanted to stay. After a while, i adjusted to the settings and it turned out that I liked the school a lot . As long as you can find the things that make it worth your while , it can be the right college for you .

College is a life changing experience, so a student has to choose the right school. Many factors go into college, like cost of attendance, academic competitiveness, location, student body and alumni achievement. Another factor is the ability of the school to be a community environment. A student should get along with his or her classmates and feel welcomed because these are the people they will be spending the next four years with. They should also be satisfied with instructors. It feels nice to walk into a classroom knowing the professor has you as a top priority. If a student already has a school in mind, they should visit the institution, examine the site and become familiar with the students and faculty. And the student must listen to advice given from their parents; the school chosen may decide the rest of someone?s life as far as potential goes, it is important to have outside opinions. Lastly, to make the most of a college experience the student must engage in campus activities, join organizations, and make friends, there is nothing worse than being an isolated hermit trapped in a dorm room all day.

Plan ahead and have at least 3 colleges in mind.
Also visit each so you and your child could get the right feel of the campus environment

I would advise them to start researching colleges as soon as the student enters high school. They shouldn't rely solely on financial aid provided by the school, even if the school has promised to cover the entire tuition. Apply for outside scholarships as well.

The advice I would give prospective college students and parents would be to find a college that is safe, affordable, and academically focused. They should make sure that the schools faculty has the students best interest at heart and be willing to help them. Also, they should be mindful of their advisor and monitor their progress and keep track of their courses. Assuming that they have a list of things they would like the college to have, they should compare colleges and their checklist and pick the one that has the most thngs in common witht their personal check list.

sitting in the room during orientation there was such a positive ora that surrounded me. i felt as they accepted me for who i was without knowing me. when looking for a school for your child this is a great factor. i know that educational value, and location also weighs in but peace of mind knowing your child is comfortable where they are at helps you sleep at night. when a child is uncomfortable in their environment they tend to reject it. rejecting their educational environment reflects on their grades...then evrything goes down hill from there. so just make sure your child is comfortable in their environment.

when finding the right college the best thing to do is go look at the campus first. looking at the campus helps determine how comfortable you may actually feel. college is what you make it, if you dont do anything you may not like it, but if you go out and interact with the other students in the school and doing activities you will enjoy the college experience and it will go by so quickly. Blink and you may miss it.

WORK HARD, MAKE WISE CHOOICES, CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS CAREFULLY. STAY IN CHURCH , KEEP COPIES OF EVERYTHING.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. How the school may seem when you visit may either be true or false. There isn't a garuantee that the school is the best choice, but just make the best of your option and learn from it.

When you are a senior in high school and its getting close to decision time, students and parents should take proper precautions and should be sure that this school is right for them. A college tour would be highly suggested because you dont want to attend a college primarly based on there popularity and or academic successes. You need to be sure that the school is right for u because this will be home away from home for the next 4+ years. Talking to alumni is also a good idea because all schools try come off as being the best choice, but someone who has actually expirenced the college life at this particular facility will deffinately be able to honestly respond to all the questions you need answered. Making the most out of the college expierence is also very important. We all know that you go to school to further your education, Yet it is also an opportunity for growth. These next four years charish every moment because this part of your life only comes around once. Open up, meet new people, get out of your normal routine and enjoy this opportuinty before you. God Bless and Good Luck!
