I think it is an okay school. They have great food sometimes and all the buildings are close by which is nice. I also love my forensic professors but as for other professors sometimes they are not so good. It is not a very diverse school though but for the most part people are nice.

I enjoy the campus and I believe it is a good fit. It is close to my parent's home and I can easily travel back and forth. Overall, I feel as University of Wisconsin Platteville is an extremely good school and it fits all the criteria I am looking for in a college.

My personal opinion about the university of Wisconsin-Platteville, I am currently taking science classes for me to pursue my nursing degree. Because UW-Platteville has a very good science program and I need some science classes in order for me to start my education. Also, this school is very nice and clean. It is a public school with just the right amount of students in the class for you to focus and learn more from.

Some of the facilities are outdated including the on-campus housing. The food is okay but overall. The campus and surrounding area is beautiful and great for biking. The class sizes are small which allow you to have a more personal experience with your professor who are always available if you need help. The university is well-known for its engineering, but is good for other majors. While the city is small it has everything you need including a neat downtown area with bars and restaurants. There are parties and drinking but nothing excessive. The campus is very safe and have never had an issue myself or heard of any major issue. The university hosts lots of events free to students. The university also has its own textbook library so you don't have to buy/rent your own. Overall, it is a great college.

  4. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I would have been more prepared for taking basic classes than I was originally. I did not understand that i would be taking so many general courses to get credits. If this was brought to me in highschool I would have concentrated even harder to get through as many AP level classes as possible to earn college credit. By doing this, it would have given me an opportunity to concentrate more on classes that were dealing with my majors.

  10. What kind of person should not attend this school?

Someone who expects a lot to be going on shouldn't attend this school. It's also not a good idea to come here if you live far away, because a lot of people go home on weekends. On weekends, the only way you know about something going on is if you are in a sport and know older players, if you plan on joining a fraternity and have pledged, or if you're a female, because there's not many here, so people always invite them.

  12. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

This school 's atmosphere is very laid back. You can feel comfortable here with all the faculty and students because everyone is so friendly. Drama and the necessity to drink and party all the time is not the main focus at this university. If you wanted to, you could but there is more things to do on weekends than party here compaired to other Wisconsin schools.

I was a little disappointed when I started at UW-Platteville because I originally wanted to go to a out-of-state school. He was obviously right because now I refer to my room as home and I even miss my dorm bed when I go home.
