I think the best thing about UWM is the great variety of opportunties for a student to get involved outside of the classroom. UWM offers clubs and student organizations for every student's interests. There are religious organizations, organizations within your specific major, cultural groups, sports, and so many ways to get involved in the surrounding community through volunteer work. I love having the chance to be involved on campus and also to be an active member of the community in which I attend school.

UWMilwaukee is a school that is willing to help students succeed no matter their race, sex, and economic status. It is a friendly neighborhood school that is open to everyone. The best thing about my school is that they accept you for who you are and do not try to change that. They simply prepare you in the area you are interested in, career wise, so that once you hit the real world you are ready for it. UWMilwaukee is the best choice for those who want to be in a diverse, friendly, focused, and fun school.

Our facilities are really great. There are so many resources at our disposal as students at UW-Milwaukee, I sometimes think a lot of people look past that. We have free bus passes during the school year, free transportation until 4 in the morning for students who have been drinkining, which I think is very important because it discourages drunk driving. They really take care of us down here at UW-Milwaukee, and I'm glad I'm attending this school

UWM is very culturally diverse so it's easy to fit in. Socially, it's very easy to get by at this school. I hardly ever see anyone on campus who looks like they are miserable or without friends to turn to. Everyone is willing to help and make your life a little easier.

The best thing about UWM is the academic department. If one pays attention they can learn alot. The majority of the teachers are great. There are a few that could probably use some more learning about how to teach college students.
