University of Nebraska-Lincoln Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about University of Nebraska-Lincoln? Why?

Adam

The overall size of the school is a little too big for me. Being a transfer student from a smaller private university was a big wake-up call for me on how big UNL actually is.

Nicole

I believe that the worst thing about my school is the special attention it gives to its student athletes. They have their own dining hall and receive special treatment from professors. I believe that every student should be equal and I do not believe that the student athletes deserve to be treated so much better than the average student.

Ali

Parking is a huge problem and they don't seem to be doing much about it.

Allison

I hate the fact that at UNL, everyone is just a number. They do not see you as a person or a student who is working towards their future. A lot of the office staff are short with you and treat you like you are a burden. Overall, I just feel that many of the staff and faculty really are there to further their research and studies, and do not care about the students that they are teaching.

Marc

The worst part of my school is probably that there isn't enough parking for everyone who wants to drive.

Ryan

Lack of adequate parking

Luressa

the amount of student who choose to drink and let it interfere with their school work

Chelsey

I feel that some professors are not teaching for the correct reasons. Some only do research and do not help their students to the best of their ability. I also feel that too many professors use group projects too much. I would rather be graded seperatly than with a group of people.

Deborah

For me the worst thing is parking. THere is hardly any places a visitor can park without having to pay for a visitors pass or a meter. The parking services will give you a ticket for anything and it is ridiuclous that there isnt a parking lot sctrictly for people without passes.

Nicolette

The worst thing about my school was the popularity of sororities and fraternities. It made i t difficult if you were not in one because it was the most popular thing going on on campus. Also not attending the Big Red Welcome at the start of the year made it difficult as well because there is a lot you can miss out on if you choose not to move into your dorm until the night before classes.
