I think that due to the diversity presented on campus and within the classroom, anyone is able to attend this school. I have been in classes with your typical-aged student as well as adults who are continuing their education or coming to college for the first time. Due to the variety of majors and minors available and the plethora of departments, this school caters to all interests and strong-suits. I think anyone would be well-suited to attend this school because of the flexibility and support available.

UMass is a pretty flexible institution. Generally, I've found you get out of school what you put into it, like many other things in life. There's no one way the school will try to force you to be, as there are just so many people. There are a lot of party-goers, and it caters to the state, but that's just what feeds the stereotype, for better or worse. Really anyone can come here and find their niche. If not, then they can transfer.

Cathleen

An Outgoing, motivated, responsibile, and independent person.

David

Anyone that wants a diverse experience.

Antonia

This school is great for people who don't know what they want to do, because it allows many opportunities to try new things and find something that fits the individual. Research is great at the University, as are the language courses. There's so much to do and so many opportunities, that the school fits anyone who wants to go there. It's a big school, but it becomes small really fast.

Nataliya

Any kind, it's very diverse

Henry

Someone who is looking for a good education who might not have the money.

Sarah

Someone who likes a very balanced life. At UMass you can find a party if you want or get your work done and focus entirely on that.
