The kind of person who would attend Salter's College are those looking for quick placement in their chosen careers. It is a small, friendly college in Worcester MA. The cafeteria is fed by the culinary department which definitely means better than standard fair. Message Therapy is taught down the hall from business classes so it is quite an adventurous mix. This college is community driven and thrives on the results of placing students in careers. Those willing to try new things, mix with people from all walks of life, study hard and dive into their career would love it.

The type of candidate which would succeed at UMass Amherst would be one that can perform without constant direction and knows when to seek out help. In a school of 27,000 students help will not just come to you, rather, you will have to seek it. This person should also be good at balancing fun and work. There is always something to do on or off campus and it is very easy to get behind on work. You need to know how to buckle down when its time to work. Must be able to handle New England weather!

Joy

Someone very outgoing, with little difficulty at making friends. They should be committed to their academics and eager to participate in extracurricular activities within the school community.

Honestly, UMass has such a diverse population. Everyone is different. Because Umass offers a little something for everybody, there is not one particular type of person that would fit best with this school. The only thing that is daunting to some people is the size . Trust me, it is not THAT big. Yes, it is a large campus with a lot of students, but it becomes more than manageable once you are here for a week! Try it!

Andrew

I think anyone can attend UMASS as long as they have a focus for their education and their future. While not all of the school's colleges are equal, if the student picks a field in the sciences or art, I don't think they would be dissapointed. The school isn't an Ivy League perhaps, but for just about any field or interest, there's something for someone.

Yana

Someone who enjoys a variety of classes and larger class sizes. Someone who enjoys the social aspects of college and sport team events. The school has a lot of options, so it is great to come here if you are unsure of what major you would like or the types of classes you like.

Max

People who are looking for a quality education, and who also wants to have fun and explore many clubs and other activities.

I think Umass would be a good fit for many students. The student body is so diverse, many students can succeed here. Before college, I was a girl with a lack of confidence and focus, and I think Umass, being a such a big school, forced me to come out of my shell and seek out activities, as well as educational assistance, in order to succeed. I joined a sorority, excelled in my major, volunteered as well as held part-time jobs, while making life-long friends. It was up to me to make the most of a large school.

Devon

Anyone who is looking to move outside of their comfort zone into a large, comfortable environment.

Taylor

In order to attend this school I beleive that you must be a very independent person. Umass is a very large school with many students and you will not receive as much individual attention as other schools. I also beleive that if you are a person from a small town looking for a city-like experience, Umass is a great choice of school. Umass allows you to receive the city-life experience while not actually being in a large city.
