What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year at University of Maine?

I wish I had been more aware of the courses and majors that were offered at this school before attending. I believe that if there had been more hands on advising with me as a prospective student that was undecided that I may have been better equipped to make a decision on a major that best suited what I wanted for the furture.

There are no provate bathrooms in underclassmen dorms

I wish I had known that the teachers care more about their research than teaching, and I wish I knew more about my major and the people in it.

I wish I had more of an idea of what I wanted to do with my life. High school just does not seem to do a lot to help you decide what you would like to do with your life. More exposure to real career choices would be a good idea to help kids get an idea just what they would like to do or draw attention to their talents or interest to help them see just what is out there for them to choose from.
