What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Erika

Absolutely nothing! It is great.

Kaila

I would have wanted to know that I was going to switch majors half way through the year. Even though I am in upper-classmen classes right now because of my previous major, it feels like a I missed a lot of information I would have helped me in my current classes.

Kimberly

Before I came to school I wish I had known how much reading was expected from all of my classes and how much studying was needed to even get close to a good grade. I also wish I knew that studying all of the time, and not doing fun things doesn't help much. Doing something fun keeps you relaxed and unstressed.

Serena

I would of wanted to meet my roommate. Also, to know what my professors were like and if I could learn from easily and if I needed to switch. What each of the dorm rooms looked like so it would have been easier to pack what was needed and what would fit in the rooms.

Jacqueline

I wish I would have had a better understanding of out-of-state fees because they are contributing to my financial dilemma. Usually schools focus on living expenses, book fees and room and board but they do not explain the out-of-state fees that will be assessed and how much it will be for students to attend. Knowing that out-of-state fees were going to be more than the tuition for local students, I probably would have made a better analysis in my decisions.

JIllian

It was not going to be all fun

Katelyn

Nothing really, both my sisters went to this school and told me everything.

Hilary

i wish i had known how to schedule my time better, so i was able to keep my grades up and still have a social life.

Abigail

I wish I would have known that the field hockey coach was quitting because I would have picked a warmer school.

Katrina

I was a very acedmic and introverted person in highschool. I wish I had known how to better handle social situations including drinking, and sexual relationships. Because of my own experiences, I feel that being knowledgable in these areas before going to college would be helpful, rather than being completely ignorant. Not knowing how to react to certain situations, or to be able to weigh the possible consiquences, caused me much heartache and confusion that I would hope other new college students will not experience.
