What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

i WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THE ACTUALL AMOUNT OF FINANCIAL AIDE I WAS GOING TO RECIEVE. IT WAS A LOT LESS THAN THOUGHT. i THOUGHT ALL MY SCHOOL WAS GOING TO BE PAID FOR WITH FINANCIAL AIDE. NOW I HAVE TONS OF STUDENT LOANS. NOT FUN. I FEEL LIKE I WAS TRICKED

How incredibly boring it can be. And certain courses are only offered once every several years, it really destroys your chance to graduate if you fail something.

I wish I would have known my parents were going to move and leave me with no place to live; I would have gone to an out-of-state school had that been the case.

I wish I could have known more about the city of Colorado Springs before I came to live here. I was a bit disappointed in the city.

Much more emphasis is palced on Nursing and Engineering than other schools, that the Criminal Justice program was so new, and that the recent issue with Student Body Government denying funds to a LGBTQ group was going to happen

A list with the cost of extra materials that you are required to buy. In each nursing class the prefessors have extra materials that were not on the class list and it is hard to find the money last minute.

That you can get all A's for the semester with just one A- and still not have a 4.0 GPA. However, even if you have 4 A+'s and only one A-, you will not have a 4.0 GPA. If they are going to lower your GPA for an A-, they should at least raise it back up or let it be balanced out by an A+ in order for hard working students to maintain a decent GPA.

I wish I had known more about the financial aid process and how to best make use of the financial resources here.

I wish I had known about the possible career choices in psychology and about the school's resources for deciding a major and for planning out school and grad school. I was clueless and thus a 4 year degree has taken 8 years.

That the arts program was last on the list of priorities. Im a fine arts major and they have us do studio classes in a temporary trailor set up. :(
