What is the stereotype of students at University of Chicago?

Casey

People say that the University of Chicago is full of anti-social, awkward smart kids who know nothing about fun and would love nothing better than to sit inside all day.

Andrew

Nerdy, not sociable, smart, love to talk about school, where fun comes to die.

Morgan

Nerdy, no fun, study all the time, can't party, ridiculously smart, all econ majors, read all the time, think too much, talk about Foucault at parties, can't play beer pong, rich, in short, don't have fun.

Chris

First of all people who have never heard about UChicago tend to pass ignorant remarks about it being a state and all attach all sorts of mediocre stigmas to the school's name. On the other hand, those who do know consider this place to be academic torture or power-house. They think the students here are real snobs, spoilt, rich and very goofy/geeky.

Will

U Chicago students are generally perceived, from without and within, as unusually nerdy and particularly dedicated to hard work and the impassioned pursuit of their academic ideals. They are understood to be quite socially awkward. The University itself has a reputation for being intensely demanding, and is labeled, "where fun comes to die".

Andy

Never have fun. Don't go out. Study all the time.

Alex

nerdy, ugly, weird, anti-social, strange, intellectual, pretentious, masochists

Dylan

Chicago is where fun comes to die, where the squirrels are cuter than the girls, where the only thing that goes down on you is your GPA.

Nico

Nerdy, serious, arrogant, WHERE FUN GOES TO DIE...

Rachel

- this is where "fun comes to die" and nobody parties or has fun - students study all the time - students are really weird, intense, and nerdy
