What's the most frustrating thing about University of Arizona?

Sophia

The most frustrating thing about the University of Arizona is its orientation around Greek Life and the huge influence it has over University’s social scene. As a student, if one chooses to not join a Fraternity or Sorority, one will find oneself generally excluded and "out of the loop" in terms of many social events. The U of A heavily revolves around Greek Life, so if a student desires an active social life, it is strongly suggested to join a Fraternity or Sorority.

The fraternity and sorority scene is so large that it is hard to have a consistent nightlife if you are not involved with the Greek community.

Frustration hasn't hit me yet, being a Freshman here at the University of Arizona. The worst that I've come accross is getting around campus. The campus is very big and the forms of transportation are, a bike, walking, and/or skateboarding. Not only that, I had to learn exactly where everything was at and all of the routes. Although frustration can hit me through small things such as transportation, I don't let it get to me and I stay focused on my studies.

Maryam

A lot of people bike on campus and that gets super hectic and also, I am not in greek life but some of the fraternity boys are just so typical and that can get annoying but other than that, nothing!

Matthew

The Administration Office at times can be a bit frustrating. Most of my financial questions, I had to answer on my own. During the 12:00 Lunch hour, it was very hard to move around because so many students are trting to find a place to eat or a place to catch up on last minute homework o studying.

The budget cuts in Arizona have resulted in drastic tuition increases for both in state and out of state students. Not only has it resulted in tuition increases, but it has resulted in increased class sizes, which in my opinion have decreased the quality of many of the general education courses.

Carmen

The most frustrating aspect about the University of Arizona is the increasing prices on tuition and fees.

Nichole

The most frustrating thing about the U of A is the cost of everything, especially the parking. If you're not living on campus, then it's hundreds of dollars for a parking permit. But the campus is so overcrowded that you're not even guaranteed a spot to park.

Brandon

The most frustrating thing so far is the parking situation. Though there are several parking garages, the fees are pricey and the garage and outside parking is congested. The college spans several city blocks, so getting from class to class is a bit of a challenge. I'll be driving 56 miles to campus, then I'll have to bring a bicycle or roller blades.

Easy to get into, harder to keep A's
