What are the most popular student activities/groups?

Blake

-awesome social scene -between 6th street and off-campus parties, no other college in the country can beat UTs social scene

Ryan

How often do people party? Often...really often. But that's the thing about UT..."Work Hard, Play Hard." There are people, myself included, that love to work hard from 8am to 8pm, and then go out at night, rather than lounge around during the day and do schoolwork at night.

Alex

I am in a fraternity and enjoying it. For some people, fraternities are necessary but for others, fraternities are not very important.

Zach

I am involved in two groups on campus. One is my fraternity and the other is Teas Cowboys. I enjoy both. Between the two, they keep me busy with service and social events. Coming in from out of state, these groups have helped me meet a lot of people. I came here not knowing anyone. Athletic events here are very popular since we are one of the best sports schools in the country. To have fun, a lot of people go to the bars in 6th street. I met my closest friends through my fraternity.

Devin

Well for me, greek life is the most popular organization. All of my friends are in fraternities and sororities.

zack

Greek life is the way to go - if it is right for you. If not, there is plenty of other organizations to get involved in.

Torry

I am involved in Texas Cowboys, a longstanding, prestigious spirit/service organization on campus. It has been very fulfilling doing the service aspect. It also instills school pride within its members which, in turn, creates more pride in other students.

Jerry

I'm involved in young life and chi omega. I think they're are opportunities for everyone and fun things to do all the time.

Rebecca

6th Street. There is no better social life. If you are under age, fake ids work wonders or there are the infinite number of parties in west campus.

Andy

Whatever you want to find, you will. From riding a bike to Alaska to cure cancer, to the political organizations and the lock-picking club, its all there.
