Charlie

Awesome and can't imagine a place with more activities

I met my bestfriends, my roommates, and my future bridesmaids in my pledge class of my sorority freshman year. I don't know who I would be with out joining that sorority and meeting them. It was the best thing I could have done. I met my boyfriend and my very best friends through mixers with fraternities and have had countless ski trips, ranch house parites, beach trips, cookouts, camping trips, dress up theme parties, etc. with them. Last weekend, I went to a Bar Tab with my roommates and boyfriend and his roommates and we took the ebus home and missed the stop and got off at the KA house and found some friends and stayed up until 6 AM eating crawfish and shooting skeet. It is nights like that that I will miss so much.

I feel like the social life at UT was awesome. I was in Texas Cowboys and that was the most fun I had while at school. There are so many different groups at UT that it is very easy to find a group that you fit in with. I have no complaints whatsoever about UT on a social level.

Most popular teams are basketball and futball. I am involved in PAnama Brigades that is an organization aimoing to create sustainable businesses in Panama. Many students leave their door open in the doors. Athletic events are highly popular theater not taht much. If I am awake at 2 am on tuesday i am studying!!. People party all weekend!

Karen

Athletic events are VERY popular. We are the best in all the sports. Who wants to miss a UT game?

Lauren

Texas Sweethearts, Texas Spirits, Texas Cowboys, Silver Spurs, Athletics, Sororities, and Fraternities are the most popular organizations to become a part of on campus, in addition to the honor societies. I was a Texas Spirit (you tap out as a junior), I am in a sorority, and I was on the board of an honor society for 3 years. All of the events UT puts on seem to be very popular. Football and basketball games are impossible to miss and the guest speakers are always sold out. I met my closest friends in my sorority and in the dorm freshman year. Sororities and fraternities are NOT that important, there are SO many other activities and groups to get involved in.

Drew

Athletic events are real popular. Basketball and football especially popular and the weekends in the fall revolve around them.

Allison

One of the most popular parts of the social scene is greek life. UT has a large greek population and I think that being such a big school, these organizations really help make it seem smaller and more close.

Jordan

Greeek life is big. It's like some exclusive club- and you either care, or you don't.

Party. 6th street. Frat houses. That's what I hear from people. Personally, movies and eating out are the way my friends and I hang out. And at times, gatherings at someone's residence or putt putt golf. Basically, whatever is the cheapest, that's what we will be doing. Everyone else? Don't know.
