Spring Arbor University is an amazing college based on the pursuit of a significant impact on society through the teachings of Jesus Christ. All of the students are devoted not only to their education, but also to the people around them, and sharing their faith in Christ. The professors are all dedicated to their jobs, constantly available to help students with their work, as well as mentor them through life. Overall, Spring Arbor is truly a great college that promotes significance and attempts to provide all of their students with opportunities that will help them throughout their lives outside of college.

I love Spring Arbor University. It is a place of extreme growth and community. Spring Arbor is a place for deep friendship that is supported by intentional campus events to cultivate these relationships. It is a liberal arts school that pushes cross knowledge across different fields. This pushes students to excel in the work place. I love this school, and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I love the community at Spring Arbor. As an athlete, I really appreciate the support from my student body. The professors here are generally super helpful. I've only just transferred into the Gainey school of Business but the whole department has been nothing but welcoming. Almost everyone person is rooting for your success here and wants to help you get there. I've had many sit down meetings with a career advisor who has helped me create a resume and look for internship/job opportunities. Another amazing tool that I've been able to utilize is the alumni network. Spring Arbor sets up relationships between current students and past students who are already successful in the field. The only complaints I have with the school are related to its outdatedness. The facilities and the rules are outdated. First, the facilities, our science facility could use a facelift. We don't have the most up to date equipment HOWEVER we do graduate some of the top science related majors in the country. Another is the rules, there are very few places that students of all genders can be at the same time. This a very small, extremely inconvenient problem. Our "open hours" are one day during the week and then a few hours each day on the weekend. Especially because campus is small and in the middle of nowhere, I think that the open hours should be changed to a more reasonable amount.

  4. Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.

Spring Arbor is a Christian Liberal Arts university with a strong spiritual and academic focus, but more than that, it is a place of community, a place to make life-long friends, and a place to call home.

  5. What's unique about your campus?

The experience that I have had at Spring Arbor is unique. Many students go to school to forget the lies they have been taught and thus lose the morals they were brought up with. Here though, its more about finding your morals than loosing them. Just because Spring Arbor is a Christian environment doesn?t mean that the students live in a stereotypical bubble. I feel like a lot of the students here have already lived lives that they aren't proud of and therefore they are driven to change. They are here because they haven?t given up hope.

  6. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish I would have known the little availability of work. Spring Arbor is not a busy town whatsoever and there are only so many jobs on campus. Even then, you do not get a lot of hours to work, so it's hard to make money.

  7. What kind of person should not attend this school?

The greatest issue that I see are the few people who we aren't reaching. I have started to notice the few quiet people out there, who aren't exactly on the same page as everybody else. I myself am naturally introverted and its a constant struggle for me. What I?m saying is that I understand how these people feel. I wish they could have more friends and that people would go out of their way to include them in things. I feel inferior because I can see this and yet I too am afraid to talk to them.

I also have no time at nite to spend with my family because I get home so late.

I think Spring Arbor University is best known for their Mission Statement. "Our Christ-centered mission is to develop and empower dedicated professional educators committed to student learning in a global society." SAU offered a perfect solution to my academic woes. The 2 year degree completion program, and attending class one evening a week fit nicely into my schedule. I enjoy the small class size and easy access to every resource I could possibly need to graduate. The SAU staff and professors have supported me through the program every step of the way. I am looking forward to graduation!
